IAM BRISTOL

We cover an area from Weston-Super-Mare to Gloucester and are one of the largest of around 210 local IAM Groups across the UK which are affiliated to IAM RoadSmart. Each year we run 4 advanced driving courses; taking 25 to 35 drivers on each. Around 100 drivers go on to take the Advanced Driving Test in Bristol each year... The Group is dedicated to promoting excellent driving skills through its education programmes and information services. We have a membership of c350 of which c35 are highly trained Advanced Driving Observers of National status. Additionally, more than half our Observers hold the Masters qualification; the highest qualification for civilian driving in the UK... Founded in 1958 to improve driving standards, Bristol Advanced Motorists was the ninth of what are now over 200 IAM Groups across the country - hence our number 1009. We are today best known for our IAM RoadSmart Advanced Driver Course.
