LESNES ABBEY METHODIST

The Lesnes Abbey Methodist Circuit was created in September 2007 from two previous circuits - the Plumstead and Thamesmead Circuit and the Shooters Hill Circuit. The ruins of Lesnes Abbey are in the middle of our circuit. It was extended in September 2009 to include the Greenwich churches... We are an unusual circuit because of the Thamesmead Ecumenical Parish which means we include within our circuit not only Methodist Churches but also the churches of that Parish which include United Reform Churches, Church of England Churches and, sharing in St Paul's, the Roman Catholic Church.
