Catherine Dugmore

Catherine is a qualified Chartered Accountant. From 1988 to 2002 Catherine worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers latterly as an audit partner based in Johannesburg. Catherine is currently a trustee of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and WWF-UK. She has worked in the NHS since 2012 and currently holds a non-executive role at Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust. She was formerly vice chair and trustee of Action for Children and Chair of Victim Support.

Dr Andy Clements

Dr Andy Clements is a naturalist and ornithologist, and has a science background. Since 2007 he has been the Chief Executive Officer of the British Trust for Ornithology. He is a trustee of the National Biodiversity Network and founder chair, now member, of the Council of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative. Andy has previously worked for the government's nature conservation agencies. He held various senior positions from 1982 until 2006 and helped to establish Natural England. Andy has been appointed to the Natural England board until 13 July 2020.

Dr Simon Lyster

Dr Simon Lyster is currently a non-executive director of Northumbrian Water Group, chairman of trustees of Conservation International (UK), trustee of the Rural Community Council of Essex, trustee of Kilverstone Wildlife Charitable Trust, and a council member of World Land Trust. He was previously chief executive of Leadership for Environment and Development International and before that director general of The Wildlife Trusts. Prior to that he was head of Conservation Policy at the World Wide Fund for Nature UK. Simon is qualified as a lawyer, a member of the International Council of Environmental Law and author of the book ‘International Wildlife Law'. He runs a small farm business at his home in Essex and is a Deputy Lieutenant of Essex. Simon has been appointed to the Natural England board until 13 July 2020.

Dr Tim Hill

Marian Spain

Marian is Interim Chief Executive of Natural England, taking up the role in December 2018. Marian has been the Chief Executive of Plantlife International, the UK's leading wild plant conservation charity, since 2014. She has stepped down from that role during her time at Natural England. Marian was appointed to the board of Natural England in March 2018. She has relinquished this role while she is Interim Chief Executive.

Navroza Ladha was appointed as Chief Officer for Legal and Governance at Natural England in May 2019. Navroza was admitted as a solicitor in 1996. She has held legal and policy positions across government since 2000.

Richard Cornish - COO

Richard Cornish was appointed Chief Operating Officer at Natural England in June 2019. Richard has spent most of his career in central government, mainly in large-scale delivery roles. He has also lead policy, strategy and major change programmes. His most recent roles include: Richard is also a non-executive director on the Ofgem E-Serve board.

Teresa Dent

Teresa Dent has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust since 2001, a charity whose remit is wildlife conservation with a special interest in game species. She is also a board member of the Marlborough Downs Nature Enhancement Partnership and a director of the Game and Wildlife Scottish Demonstration Farm. Teresa is a fellow of the Royal Agricultural Society of England. Previously in her career she was a partner with Strutt and Parker, working as a farming and business management consultant. Teresa has been appointed to the Natural England board until 13 July 2020. Teresa was awarded the CBE for services to wildlife conservation in 2015.
