Dr Attam Singh

Dr Attam Singh MB BS, FRCA, FFPMRCA is a Clinical Associate of the London Pain Clinic. As a Consultant in Pain Medicine, Dr Singh is very experienced in both the assessment and treatment of pain. Dr Singh is a multi-award winning Consultant, with awards including the Clinical Excellence Award for showing Care and Compassion in Clinical Practice in 2013 and Health Service Journal Award for Patient Safety in 2014. In addition to his Harley Street private practice, Dr Singh is a Consultant in Pain Medicine based at the award winning Hip Fracture Unit in West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, where he has developed a dynamic and cohesive pathway for treating painful broken hips which is now being replicated across the country. Furthermore, he is the Acute Pain Lead at Watford General Hospital where he manages the Acute Pain team. Dr Singh specialises in musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain of either single or multiple origin providing a personalised, holistic approach to treat and perform interventional procedures when necessary. Dr Ivan Ramos-Galvez

A Consultant in Pain Medicine, Dr Ivan Ramos-Galvez came to the UK from Barcelona in 1997. His current NHS practice is at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. After extensive training and practice in spinal surgery in the Oxford Deanery, he undertook further study and training in pain medicine. His specialism in both of these complex areas of medicine means he is often called upon to provide an opinion within his clinical practice or as an expert witness. He extends his knowledge and understanding of the mechanics of the spine to aid in the long-term treatment of patients in pain. He is a strong advocate and leader in the education of both patients and primary care physicians. His key areas of expertise lie within the core of pain medicine; neuropathic pain and CRPS, Fibromyalgia and osteoarthritic degenerative joint pain, primarily of the back and neck. Both his NHS and private practice are based within a multidisciplinary setting, where his patients can benefit from the important rehabilitative impact of bespoke state-of-the-art physiotherapy. Dr Ramos-Galvez has developed close links into several other specialisms including spinal surgery and cancer/palliative care and is frequently called upon to treat patients when conventional methods of pain relief have failed. He has a keen interest in neuropathic pain and CRPS and has developed a treatment portfolio ranging from simple oral anti-neuropathic agents to neuromodulation. Being part of a large spinal surgical department, he has a fundamental and in-depth understanding of neuropathic pain and CRPS following surgery. He has developed a multi-disciplinary unit for the assessment and treatment of patients suffering with Fibromyalgia within his practice and incorporates a large spectrum of pharmacological options, as well as rehabilitative programs. He is regularly called on to speak on the widespread impact of chronic pain and the benefits of early management of the disease. He developed a training program for junior doctors in acute pain management in the North Thames (Imperial Deanery) and is a published author of several chapters in internationally acclaimed textbooks of pain medicine as well as journals. He also developed the training program for the management of acute and chronic pain for the Royal College of Surgeons. When not at work, Dr Ramos-Galvez enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, cycling and kayaking. Dr. Christopher A. Jenner

Dr. Jenner is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust. He is also an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College, London, SW7. Dr. Jenner qualified at The London Hospital Medical College in 1995. He trained in Anaesthesia at The London and St Bartholomew's Hospitals, where he developed a specialist interest in Pain Medicine. He then underwent higher specialist training in West London, where his posts included being a Specialist Registrar in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at St Mary's, Central Middlesex, Chelsea and Westminster and Charing Cross Hospitals. Dr. Jenner completed a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at The Royal Marsden Hospital, London. He is Director of Spinal Healthcare, which aims to provide pain-relief and rehabilitation, allowing restoration to a productive life.

Dr. Lorraine Harrington

Dr Lorraine Harrington's extensive special medical interests include: female pelvic pain, endometriosis, vulvar pain, vulvodynia, & chronic pelvic pain Around 20 years ago, after graduating from the renowned University of Edinburgh with both a Bsc (Hons) in Immunology, and a MBChB, Dr Harrington went on to take post-graduate qualifications at the Royal College of Physicians (London), The Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Resuscitation Council UK. This culminated in achieving her FRCA Final, and a FFPMRCA with distinction. Further, she successfully completed a seven year training program which included the Royal College of Anaesthetists' curriculum for anaesthesia training, as well as her Pain Fellowship at NHS Lothian. In addition to the aforementioned, Dr Harrington is certified in the Leadership and Management Programme. Furthermore, she has gained formal teaching qualifications, and her accomplishments include a wealth of teaching experience involving both post-graduate and undergraduate medics, as well as nursing staff and other multi-disciplinary specialists. Moreover, she enjoys engaging in regular teaching sessions with junior anaesthetics. She is also certified in the Generic Resuscitation Instructor Course, as well as the Level 1 Clinical Educator Programme. Dr Harrington has been honoured with the Royal College of Anaesthetists FFPMRCA Distinction Award; the Nick Gordon Medal Runner Up Award for her ‘I.V Fluid Prescription Audit'; and a Poster Presentation at GAT (which involved the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland), for her ‘I.V Fluid Prescription Audit'. She is also in receipt of two distinctions from Edinburgh University.
