Over the years since 1978, SYCSA has become well known in the sailing world and has developed an enviable reputation as a friendly, efficient organisation, which values its volunteers highly and promotes both their skills and personal development... Who we are - we are a volunteer led association and a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) teaching establishment with both Championship and Sailability Foundation status. We give up our time and energy to deliver courses and sessions for the adults and children. We are a charitable incorporated organisation and we are non-profit making... What we do - we pride ourselves on youth development and recreation incorporating sailing skills. This can hopefully lead to an individual realising their potential in order for them to live healthy and fulfilling lives. We also offer courses for adults. We do this for people mainly in Somerset but not exclusively. We teach sailing according to the RYA National Sailing schemes for adults and youths.
