The UK Statistics Authority is an independent body at arm's length from government. We have a statutory objective of promoting and safeguarding the production and publication of official statistics that ‘serve the public good'... We are the regulatory arm of the UK Statistics Authority, and are independent from government Ministers, and separate from producers of statistics, including the Office for National Statistics (ONS)... Our 5-year plan sets out our vision and priorities for 2020-2025 and how we will contribute to fostering the Authority's ambitions for the statistics system.
