Christine Nisbet

I have lived, together with my husband Richard, in the village for 46 years and am generally known round and about for my (our) involvement for the past 29 years, with the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home. More recently helped set up the Wycombe Winter Night Shelter (now Wycombe Homeless Connection). Fund-raising being a big part of the Nisbet world for these charities. Our son went to the village schools and he, together with his wife and two sons, lives in the village, so you could say we are a local family. We do not attend a local church, as we have been members of Union Baptist Church, High Wycombe, since moving from Sussex to Buckinghamshire in 1959. Three years ago a new Morning WI started in the village and I am the present President of that happy and thriving institute. I happily served on the village Jubilee Committee and the two village WIs' organised and ran at "Tea Dance" which was greatly appreciated by all who attended. I am often identified by the fact that I walk two Shelties (dogs) around the area. It is a privilege to be part of the P.P.G and I look forward to meeting more village people through that organisation.
