Beth Phillips

Beth joined Unicorn Vets in 2018 and is currently completing her veterinary nursing qualification with MYF training. She works at all 3 of our branches and enjoys meeting all the different patients. Beth's interests include both surgery and inpatient care in wards and enjoys recovering the patients from their procedures. Outside of work, Beth can be found spending time with family and friends! She has a cat called Milo and a dog called Cassi at home, and enjoys taking Cassi to the beach!

Bobbie Cousens RVN

Bobbie started with Unicorn Vets during her student training years and graduated with and FdSc in veterinary nursing in 2017. She then gained experience at a veterinary hospital and other vets while qualifying for her BSc in applied animal behaviour and retuned to Unicorn Vets in 2018. Bobbie's interests include animal behaviour and working towards being cat friendly and fear free, she also enjoys working in the wards and providing inpatient care. Bobbie is one of our clinical coaches and enjoys teaching the student nurses. Bobbie has a Labrador called Tommy and a horse named Arlo and enjoys take them for strolls in the countryside.

Jenny Robertson

Jenny started work at Unicorn Vets in 2019 as a receptionist and veterinary care assistant before starting her veterinary nurse training. She is now in her final year of training and really looking forward to qualifying. Jenny loves all aspects of nursing but especially enjoys caring for patients in recovery post operatively and wound management. Before training as a nurse Jenny completed a degree in psychology. As a result, she is particularly interested in animal behaviour and would like to specialise in cat behaviour once qualified. At home Jenny lives with her husband and son as well as Maui the cat and Mary the tortoise!

Jo Cassey

Jo has been with Unicorn Vets as a receptionist since 2014. Jo enjoys saying hello to all your pets and giving them treats. As well as being great with the treats, Jo is very empathetic when it is that time to say goodbye to those that you love. Jo is caring and passionate about helping you make the right choice for you and your pets at this time and is always willing to go aside and speak to owners about this. In her spare time, Jo has Gorgeous, her African grey, Sweetpea and Piglet her cats and her newest addition Minnie, the Imperial Shih Tzu. Jo is a massive family person who enjoys spending time with her sons and grandchildren.

Kayleigh Mitchell

Kayleigh graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009. After a few years in first opinion small animal practice, she was awarded a distinction for a post-graduate certificate in Small Animal Medicine. She continued working in London for a few more years before moving to Hampshire and enjoying rural life. Kayleigh loves the variety that the Veterinary profession offers and she has enjoyed participating in dermatology research and has a paper published in the Journal of Veterinary Dermatology. Aside from dermatology, she also has a particular interest in ultrasonography, dentistry, but really loves all aspects of practice. She is trained in therapeutic laser treatment. Kayleigh loves spending time with her family and her interests include yoga, crochet, SCUBA diving, walks in the countryside and coaching/training kickboxing. She's looking forward to rescuing a cat soon as the place is now a bit quiet without a pet!

Kennedy Furber RVN

Kennedy qualified as an RVN in 2016, and joined Unicorn in 2017. Her passion lies in carrying out minor surgery and looking after our in-patients when they have to stay in with us. She also holds a clinical coaching qualification which enables her to train new veterinary nurses. In her spare time, she loves to travel, and when she isn't doing this, she can be found spending time with her rescued miniature Shetland pony.

Laura Eldridge RVN

Laura qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2012 and has been Head Nurse at Unicorn Vets since 2018. She enjoys all aspects of nursing but especially likes theatre and nurse clinics. Her true passion lies in feline care and making sure we can make every cats' stay with us as stress free as possible. With the help of Bobbie, she made Unicorn Vets Fair Oak a Silver Cat Friendly clinic in 2020. At home Laura has a 17year old Burmese cat called Daisy.

Michelle Coombs

Michelle joined Unicorn in March 2022, Michelle has always worked in Customer focused Jobs. You will often find her trying to get photos of your lovely pets to put on our social media platforms. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys going to gig's, festivals and you may even bump into her on the river in her Kayak. At the moment Michelle's dream is to own her very own Highland cow, but for now she is quite happy giving all your pets cuddles to make them at ease.

Nicole Crotty RVN

Nicole joined Unicorn Vets in January 2021 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. After completing 3 years of training at Sparsholt University she qualified in late 2022. She is particularly interested in both anaesthesia and exotics. With a future goal of becoming an exotic trained nurse Outside of work Nicole has a Crested Gecko called George who was adopted into the family in 2018.

Pippa Manning RVN

Pippa qualified in 2014 and joined Unicorn in 2015. She enjoys all areas of nursing but particularly enjoys inpatient nursing care. Pippa also has a diploma in canine behaviour and is a fear-free certified practitioner. At home, she has a beautiful springer spaniel called Izzie, a mischievous kitten called Nala and a guinea pig called Caramel.

Radu Red Rabu

Dr Rabu graduated from The University Spiru Haret in Bucharest, Romania and has been with Unicorn Vets since early 2022. Outside of work he enjoys cycling and travelling.

Sam joined Unicorn vets as a receptionist in 2016. She moved from receptionist to student nurse in 2018 and qualified in 2021. Sam has a keen interest in theatre and has completed her schedule 3 certificate. At home, Sam has a dog called Sarge and 2 cats Luna and Elsa. In her spare time Sam enjoys going to the yard with her children and spending time with their pony Holmes.

Tash qualified as registered veterinary nurse and also joined the Unicorn Vets team in 2018. She later became a clinical coach in 2021. Tash enjoys all aspects of her nurse role, but particularly enjoys doing her weight clinics. Tash also has a keen interest in researching into analgesia and anaesthetics.

Taz is the newest member of the team, she joined us in November 2022. She has previous experience working in a veterinary practice and would love to get back into animal care in the future. She loves being back working in the reception meeting all our lovely clients and pets. At home Taz has a hairless sphynx cat called Eric, she enjoys taking him on walks on the weekends in the new forest.
