Wight Scientific - Pioneers of the computerised sign-making industry... Wight Scientific started out selling supplies and services to scientific researchers. Then 20 years ago, when the first personal computer came along, we branched out into computer software, starting with PAPERBASE, a personal bibliographic database for scientists. Once desk-top printers became common, our SIGNWRITER and EASYSIGN packages pioneered large-format printing with vector-outline fonts. The arrival of vinyl-cutting plotters allowed us once again to pioneer affordable sign-making systems around our VINYLWRITER software.
