WARE MUSEUM

Founded in 1985, Ware Museum tells the story of life in this historic Hertfordshire town, from the Mesolithic Period to the present day. Located in a Grade 1 listed building at the entrance to the 14 th century Ware Priory, the museum is run entirely by volunteers, who work as stewards and help with important behind the scenes work... Following public meetings in Ware between 1984-85. Ware Town Council offered the Priory Lodge, a Grade 1 listed building at the entrance to Ware Priory, dating back to the 14 th century, as a Museum for the town.
