At Walkingworld we are always open to new ideas. Please let us know if you think something can be improved... Walkingworld is, first and foremost, a web community. The core content is generated by a growing band of members who contribute walks and, equally importantly, maintain them afterwards. We are absolutely indebted to the 450 or so keen walkers who contribute their routes. Through them you have access to local knowledge and insider information that would be much more difficult to obtain otherwise... Now for the more corporate stuff... Walkingworld Ltd is a private limited company. The website was conceived in 1999 by Nicholas Rudd-Jones and David Stewart. The site was built in early 2000 by David's media company, a specialist in content-managed websites. The business was joined by Chris Stewart, David's wife, who has managed the database of walks ever since with help from her daughters Jo and Frances, son Charlie and son-in-law Dan.
