The first foreign trip we arranged was a riotous weekend in Ostend in 1961.Our next tour abroad took place in 1966 and was a 5-day visit to Versailles and Paris. It cost all of £14.77! Subsequently we took travellers to Belgium and Holland and in 1974 we became full time Tour Operators when Brittany Ferries started their ferry operation from Plymouth... We have been operating holidays since 1974 and We are totally independent, don't belong to any associations or have any connection with any other company or organisation... Wessex Continental Travel tours to Spain, France and mini cruise from Portsmouth to Santander and Plymouth to Santander. We are now concentrating on specialised holidays such as Wildlife Tours; Jazz Tours; Wine Tours. We still have some beach breaks in Northern Spain, and short breaks to Brittany France.
