A business that has been in the same family for over sixty years. The name of our business originates from the 1920's. Sutherlands has always been a newsagents... Our family's involvement began in 1947 when my mother became manageress for the then owner of Sutherlands. At this time the business was a tiny premises at 11-13 Church Road. Dad returned from World War II and helped with the day-to-day running while working as a milkman. In 1965 Mum and Dad purchased the business.
