Iain is the managing partner of Brett Wilson LLP and heads up the firm's media and communications law department. Specialising in libel, privacy and harassment, Iain's clients include HNWIs, politicians, celebrities, professionals, local governments and numerous corporations and institutions from Premier League football clubs to The Law Society. Iain is one of the most highly-regarded solicitors practising media and communications law. Sharron is a chartered legal executive (FCILEX) and has extensive experience in the preparation of complex, serious and lengthy cases for trial. She qualified in 2001, joining Brett Wilson in 2013. Sharron has particular expertise in complex litigation and is frequently instructed to deal with historic sexual offence allegations and weighty frauds. She takes a proactive approach to police investigations to ensure the preservation of important and pertinent evidence. Tom Double

Tom originally joined Brett Wilson in May 2017 from Schillings International LLP. In 2020/2021 he spent time at BLM, before returning to Brett Wilson LLP as a partner in October 2021. Tom has acted for claimants and defendants in a wide range of media and commercial litigation disputes. He has been involved with a number of important recent cases in the High Court. Tom's litigation experience enables him to run cases efficiently from the outset, focusing on how to achieve a client's objectives in the most cost-effective way. Tom was an integral member of the team that acted for a corporate claimant in a libel and malicious falsehood claim against a national newspaper. The case settled with the Claimant receiving £125,000 in damages. Tom was the lead solicitor for the Claimant in JQL v NTP [2020] EWHC 1349 (QB), securing £15,000 compensation for the malicious publication of information relating to the claimant's mental health on Facebook.
