Alan Cunningham

Experience: Alan is an Associate Project Director at Brookbanks with a strong background in strategic land promotion and major infrastructure development within client-based organisations. With a background in civil engineering, he's an innovative thinker who understands what clients require, articulating and developing solutions from technical, planning, legal and commercial perspectives. He always has a personable and approachable manner taking pride in his role to deliver the best results every day. Alan leads a number of Brookbanks' major development projects from planning, design and delivery, through site/development parcel sales to ensuring the ongoing management of completed developments and their associated infrastructure. This involvement currently includes residential, mixed use, primary and secondary schools and a leisure centre. Over a 25+ year career Alan has worked in contracting, consulting and client environments. From an early career in tunnelling and heavy civil engineering, his most recent achievement was securing Outline Planning Consent on a major residential site for 1300 homes in a challenging and political planning environment with multiple challenges over land ownership.  

Andrew Thorley

Andrew is the Group Managing Director at Brookbanks, with a strong background in client-side development. He is driven to obtain the best results for our clients in respect of value creation, cost management, place making and programme adherence - market-leading advice for market-leading clients. Andrew leads a number of Brookbanks' major development projects, from concept stages in some cases, planning, design and delivery, through to the ongoing management of completed developments and their associated infrastructure. This involvement spans residential, mixed use and mining operations. Over a 15+ year career for a large national PLC home builder, Andrew worked on planning, designing and delivering major development sites across the South East, Midlands, North West and Yorkshire. Andrew has held Business Unit Management Team and Strategic Land positions, delivering 650-950 homes annually to the market, working through acquisition, design, planning, delivery and completion of live development sites and new communities. This lifecycle experience has been invaluable in respect of high-quality place making, and the balance of quality and quantity.

Andy Tinnelly

Experience: Andy is the Senior Associate Director in our Development Management Team, overseeing a number of large-scale mixed-use developments on behalf of our major house-building clients, as well as leading support to other key clients in the mining and mineral exploration sector. Andy brings a wealth of experience and different skills to his projects, having originally started his career as a chartered accountant with British Airways before eventually moving into the construction industry with a volume UK house builder. He led financial support to that company's Strategic Land Division over many years, operating on a nationwide basis. This role included financial reporting for the Division as well as supporting the Land and Planning Managers in providing robust business cases for land development opportunities. Andy successfully completed a Masters in Urban and Rural Planning at UWE, part of a strategy to allow him to move into a Strategic Land Project Manager position. This operational role gave him the chance to build his project management skills, bringing forward a number of consortium-led major urban extensions to the outline planning stage.

Annabel Le Lohe

Annabel manages and provides planning advice for a number of Brookbanks' major development projects, varying from options stages on Minerals and Waste projects to the design development of housing schemes and delivery of community facilities. Annabel's keen involvement with multiple industry organisations provides an invaluable asset to clients, understanding wider opportunities and challenges in planning and development from the early stages of a project. Annabel is a budding baker and cocktail maker and frequently plays mini-golf.

Anthony Brown - Chief Commercial Officer

Experience: Anthony is a Commercial Director and the Group Director for Brookbanks' new Bristol Office. He has over 30 years' experience working for both large construction consultancy practices in London and Bristol and also for the strategic division of a major UK housebuilder. Anthony has worked on numerous large residential-led developments, principally across the South of England and South Wales, many commencing at the initial sketch design stage and then progressing through the technical design development and planning application preparation processes, via the local authority viability negotiation and land purchase stages and ultimately on to the procurement and delivery of the strategic infrastructure. Anthony is able to provide commercial expertise to ensure that best value is considered at every stage to provide the best outcomes for the client. He has extensive knowledge of commercial and contractual matters associated with developing and delivering large schemes, and a good understanding of what leads to successful, value-driven developments.

Chris Vivian

Chris is a Chartered Structural Engineer with extensive experience of delivering Structural engineering projects. Having started his career following graduation as a structural cad technician, Chris progressed to a graduate engineer though to Principal Engineer and then Associate in 2 large multi-disciplinary engineering consultants. In 2011, he joined Reuby and Stagg as a senior engineer and was promoted to the position of Director in 2013. With over 25 years' experience in Structural engineering design, analysis and project management, Chris has delivered a large number of significant schemes across the UK, ranging from residential masonry buildings to multi storey tower blocks and complex commercial developments. Chris has a wide variety of skills, including: Day to day running of a busy Structural engineering team. Responsible for the management and delivery of large multi storey residential and commercial structural schemes. Design and analysis of multi storey concrete framed structures using finite element analysis. Design and analysis of multi storey steel, masonry, and timber structures. Client relationships and business development. Chris has particular skills in providing lean and cost effective concrete framed building designs as part of Reuby and Stagg's overall reputation for providing highly efficient structures.

Dean Swann

He has also being leading the advice given to both the HBF and LPDF on this matter when lobbying and advising the government on how the industry may move forward on this matter. George Wood

Experience: George has years of experience in development infrastructure cost planning and overall project viability/cash flow forecasting and has worked with many blue chip developers, land promoters at pre-contract stage to support land sales/purchases or general viability advice He has taken a lead role in project cost and viability disputes, again working for both developer and land owners to support his clients and try to reach a resolution and cost closure where possible. George has taken projects through from tender stage to contractor appointment, then through to on-site delivery and commercial management. He is currently working on both civil and structural projects including the £27m A45 bridge project in Coventry to provide access for a large proposed mixed-use development, the £2m primary school extension and a £12m indoor leisure centre down at another large mixed-use development in Sherford.

Joe Ingham

Katherine Miller

Mike started his professional career in 1995, working within the highways and drainage department at Poole Borough Council, delivering capital highway and drainage improvement schemes; through this time gaining a expansive understanding of the public sector design process and contract procurement through to delivery. Since this point, he has developed his private sector career over the past 20 years in working in all sectors of the industry, including Local Authority, Main Contractor and Consultancy.
