Jim Hunt

Jim Hunt joined The Purple Edge in March 2010 from BT where in a 23 year career he held a number of senior management positions in product and portfolio management. He has an MBA from Henley School of Management and a Diploma in Marketing, but more importantly a track record of delivering financial and operational improvements in both product and service portfolios. His marketing and management experience spans developing and launching services, project management, pricing, geographic expansion, product withdrawal, marketing and supplier selection and management. Jim aims to bring thinking and rigour from the corporate sector that is appropriate to smaller businesses. He is a skilled communicator and team builder who is can think strategically and act tactically. Jim is married with four children and in the free time he manages to find he works with Young Enterprise to develop business skills in local schools. He also plays guitar in a band composed of like-minded old rockers and enjoys golf when the sun is shining.

Sharon Wilding

The Purple Edge was set up in 2007 by Sharon Wilding, a highly qualified marketing professional. She has an MSc in Marketing and more than 30 years experience across a range of industries, in businesses large and small. She worked at BT, an organisation with a worldwide reputation for excellent marketing, for more than 20 years. She believes passionately that small-medium sized businesses can and should benefit from some of the ideas and discipline from big-business to help win and retain customers - without the bureaucracy! Sharon is based in Canterbury and has earned a reputation for getting the most out of her time - as well as running her business she is kept on her toes by her husband, four demanding sons and 2 energetic dogs. For the past five years she has also been a volunteer at the Kent MS Therapy Centre, where she is now Chair of Trustees.
