This newly-combined format became Mettis Aerospace, a business specialising in the design, testing and assembly of complex forged and machined components... That's why we have been pioneers in our industry for over seventy years... Mettis Aerospace began back in the 1930s as High Duty Alloys (HDA). HDA came into being through the efforts of Colonel Wallace Charles Devereux. From the late 1920s, Devereux became one of the most important names in British industry.
