Having been a keen photographer since the age of seven, I decided to send some images to some calendar companies in 1992. Sending four medium format transparencies to a calendar company they accepted two, and another calendar company accepted four out of six... I switched to medium format (6cm x 7cm) in 1992, as I felt the bigger format had much more scope for the type of photography I do, compared to the 35mm format, which I was never keen on. Most publishers in those days preferred the bigger format.
