NELLIE STAGLES

"Nellie Stagles" is almost an institution and we have been part of the towns cultural life since December 1937, when at the tender age of 17, Miss Stagles opened her first dancing school at the Empire Ballroom, Hexthorpe. Up until her demise in 2007 (aged 87), her passion for art of dance remained unchanged... Nellie Stagles School of Theatre Dance remains one of the largest and most successful schools in South Yorkshire. Founded in 1937, we've been part of Doncaster's cultural life for over 80yrs.
