SHIRLEY - Key Persons
Over the past thirty years I have worked as a social worker in Children and Families, Older Adults, Asylum Seekers and Hospice End of Life care. I have previously been a trustee for a counselling charity and I am currently a volunteer chaplain at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and part of a team involved in setting up a mobile shower service for rough sleepers and homeless people.

I am a locally practicing GP who knows the time constraints placed on us when patients present with more than a physical problem. It is wonderful to support a service like the Family Support Centre who can listen and support clients when we are unable to. As a trustee, I can raise awareness amongst colleagues and give any relevant advice to the centre.
I have been Senior Minister of Shirley Baptist Church since August 2023 and a FSC Trustee since May 2023. I have served the church in various countries, including Albania, America and India and now delighted to be serving the community here in Shirley through Family Support Centre.
