Dr. Crystal Meyers was born and raised in Chicago. She attended the University of Illinois for both undergraduate and veterinary school, so her alma mater has a special place in her heart. She loves the challenges veterinary medicine offers as well as strengthening the human-animal bond.
Dr. Meyers' primary areas of interest are ophthalmology and oncology.
She has a black lab mix, named Melaan and a green cheek conure named Zuzu who are terrified of each other. In her free time, she loves to hike, ski, read, bake, surf, go to the beach, and go to concerts.
About Dr. Kaplan Dr. Heather Kaplan grew up in Palmer, Alaska, and earned both her B.S. in Natural Science and her M.S. in Marine Biology from the University of Alaska. In addition, she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University, and previously served as an Associate Veterinarian at VCA Alaska Pet Care. She loves being a veterinarian because it allows her to combine her love of science with her love of working closely with people and animals.
When she's not busy caring for your pets, Dr. Kaplan enjoys gardening. She likes to grow veggies and tropical flowers. She also loves hiking, camping, going to the beach with her kids, and of course spending time with her eight-year-old dog, Finn.
Dr. Becca Shieh is a Los Angeles native who attended the University of Minnesota for her veterinary degree. Her interests include dentistry and animal behavior. She has a Maltese named Theodore and a three legged cat named Hazel. Her hobbies include cooking, watching Great British Bake Off, and exploring breakfast diners.
