ACCENTUATE STAFFING - Key Persons

Apryl Clark

Job Titles:
  • Senior Recruiter, Accounting and Finance
Apryl graduated from East Carolina University (Pirates, arrgh!) with a BS in Business with a concentration in Human Resources Management. Yet another long term Raleigh resident, Apryl is a graduate of Millbrook High School. Married, Apryl enjoys physical fitness and spending time with her two children. As her foot once got run over by a car (no broken bones), she now runs with her head held high. Aries "fight for their principles and have a stubborn persistence that is unwilling to recognize defeat". These people like to be "the best in everything that they do" and are "goal oriented". Don't tell anyone, but Apryl has long kept a secret journal of her years of staffing accomplishments.

Brooks Jordan

Job Titles:
  • Employee Advocate

Cindy Waite - President

Job Titles:
  • President
Cindy attended Garner Senior High and earned a Masters in Accounting and Bachelors in Business from UNC-CH. We know what you are thinking….figures it takes a Tarheel to lead a team of so many Wolfpackers! Married with two young children, Cindy prefers the Wiggles over Barney and has never met a chocolate chip cookie she didn't like (eat). Cindy facilitates the TSHRM Members in Transition networking group, leads parental volunteer activities at her son's school and contributes to the organizations of her colleagues. Understanding that Capricorns are tenacious (stubborn) and surprisingly witty, it is no wonder that Cindy is quick with a pun. Oddly the more she has risen through the ranks, the more humorous people find her.

Hillary Valand

Job Titles:
  • Senior Recruiter, Industrial
Hillary recently completed her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources, from North Carolina State University. Her diligence as a student intern resulted in a full time position. Hillary donates her time to Service for Sight and is a member of SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management. In her down time, Hillary enjoys cooking, running, reading and watching sports, especially the Wolfpack! In the "Ripley's Believe It or Not" category, Hillary caught an award winning barracuda off the coast of Key West when she was 14 years old.

Jeff Miller

Job Titles:
  • Business Development
A bit of a gypsy, Jeff was born in Ohio, attended high school in Florida, and settled in North Carolina, after graduating with a BS in Accounting from North Carolina State University. Married and the father of two children, Jeff likes to travel, where the family can ski and hike. Jeff is active in the North Wake Baseball Association (he dreams of his son pitching for his beloved Reds) and the Wolfpack Club (he dreams of just one more title). He's also a "Caniac", another outlet for his wardrobe of exclusively "red" shirts. Jeff is an active supporter and contributor to the Eastern North Carolina Make-A-Wish Foundation and a member of SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management.

Kelly Ellington

Job Titles:
  • Director of First and Lasting Impressions
Married, Kelly is a beach girl. She loves deep sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, beach volleyball, and long walks on the beach (cue up the elevator music). Kelly is also our early warning detection system; every time she dreams about snakes someone "close to her" is pregnant. Kelly supports Cause for Paws, the Goodwill, the Salvation Army and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Eastern North Carolina. Fitting for the one that has created our first impression for more than a decade, Capricorn's "have excellent manners and are very polite". Thanks, Kelly.

Kelly Joyner

Job Titles:
  • Senior Recruiter

Laura Turner

Job Titles:
  • Senior Recruiter, Office Professional
Consistent with the characterization of a Taurus sign as having "good taste in clothing", Laura earned a BS in Fashion Merchandising at Meredith College. Married, with one exceptionally clothed child, Laura enjoys running, reading, and escaping to the beach whenever possible. A figure skater in middle / high school, Laura gave up a budding career to chase teen age boys. A member of the St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Laura currently serves on a committee for the St. Michael's Day School. Fixed signs, like Taurus, "are associated with determination, depth, and persistence". If you witnessed Laura "working the phones", you'd quickly acknowledge her never give up recruiting attitude.

Lesley Lutz

Job Titles:
  • Accounting Manager

Lori Fichera

Job Titles:
  • Member of the the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Eastern North Carolina
  • Senior Recruiter, Industrial
Lori earned a Psychology Human Resource Development Degree from North Carolina State University in the big city, after spending her high school years in Morehead City (is it really a city). Her diligence as a student intern resulted in a full time position. Lori is a regular at NC State football and Hurricane hockey games; enjoys hiking, running, and traveling. In true Southern fashion, she has also hunted armadillo and alligator, which is some "mighty fine eats". Lori is an active volunteer committee member for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Eastern North Carolina and is a member of SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management. Gemini's have "good personalities and are easy to get to know". That's why she's in-charge of our once monthly teambuilding outings.

Mark Blume

Job Titles:
  • Business Development
‘Blumey' was born and raised in Charlotte, NC until deciding to attend NC State and major in Zoology, which is a natural fit with the staffing industry. When he is not hanging out with his wife and daughter, Mark enjoys playing pool, basketball, Frisbee golf and cooking. Our resident musician, Mark plays guitar, trumpet and the piano - thankfully not all at the same time and not in the office.

Mike Morgan

Job Titles:
  • Business Development
Mike earned his BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, after growing up in Burlington, NC. Mike enjoys water skiing, wake boarding, and swinging the golf clubs especially with his 2 children. Mike is on the Heart Ball fund raiser committee, the North Raleigh Presbyterian Personnel Committee, and is active in the Y-Guides. Fittingly, Mike is a Gemini, and has a twin sister. This sign is "associated with adaptability, service-providing, and expansion"; just what you want in a sales guy.

Rachael White

Job Titles:
  • Recruiter, Industrial

Rob Gooding - VP

Job Titles:
  • Vice President
Born in Goldsboro, Rob attended Raleigh's Millbrook High School, before earning a BS in Business at Wake Forest University, on a U.S. Army ROTC Scholarship. Rob's military service included a year in Heidelberg, Germany and Tazar, Hungary, as well as seven (successful) airplane jumps. He is married with two children and is an active, if not accomplished, golfer. Rob's charitable service includes currently serving on the Board of Directors for Children's Flight of Hope. It is no surprise to us that Cancer, a water sign, is represented by the crab (it has Rob's eyes), and "is associated with creativity and leadership".

Scott Bernstein

Job Titles:
  • Senior Recruiter, Engineering
When asked what the ‘Power of Positive' means to him, Scott included the following: Scott continues our streak of finding great recruiters from New York. Born in Huntington, NY, Scott earned his Bachelor's degree in Business from Syracuse University (back when they had a respectable football program). When Scott is not working the phones building his Engineering pipeline or placing folks into jobs, he enjoys hanging out with his 2 children and their dog. Sports, real estate, traveling and pulling for his favorite New York teams are just a few of his hobbies in his downtime. Occasionally, you will catch him at his favorite watering hole belting out a few verses on Karaoke Night - look out Frank Sinatra!

Scott Sides

Job Titles:
  • Business Development
Married with two children, Scott enjoys golf, cooking, landscaping, and attending country concerts. Scott is currently on the Johnston Community College Foundation Board and supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the NC Children's Promise, the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network Recruitment Committee, the Me Fine Foundation and coordinates our Adopt-A-Highway outings. Occasionally, Scott will grow his mustache in support of some worthwhile cause (or so he says).
