Advanced Living Communities is a faith-based, non-profit organization providing quality, affordable housing and services to individuals in need since 1962. We are a unique organization with an innovative approach to helping people live independently and age with dignity... Advanced Living Communities was founded in 1962 by the General Conference of the Schwenkfelder Church, a small Christian denomination native to southeastern Pennsylvania. Founded on the values of universal equality and unconditional compassion, Advanced Living opened its first residential retirement community, Schwenckfeld Manor, to low-income seniors in 1974. Advanced Living opened its second community, Schwenckfeld Terrace, in 2008. Advanced Living now serves over 300 residents on its original campus.
