Aaron Synder

Job Titles:

Aaron is a licensed physical therapist who earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from UCSF/SFSU after graduating with his B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Health Science from La Sierra University in Riverside, CA. Outside of physical therapy, Aaron explored a career in sports as a professional basketball player in the American Basketball Association and Liga Primera Catalana in Girona, Spain. He has helped people of all ages improve their basketball abilities as a coach and skills trainer. Aaron's experiences have established a strong foundation of evidence-based manual therapy skills, therapeutic exercise, and ability to establish a personal connection to help each individual achieve their goals. He strives to make each patient feel cared for, well-informed, as well as comfortable and satisfied with their physical therapy experience. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling abroad, and exploring new eateries. During your visit give him your best recommendations!

Allison Granot

Allison graduated from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, Ca with a Master of Physical Therapy Degree in 2001, after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis on exercise physiology from UC Davis. Allison has been working in the Peninsula since 2001, and has been with Agile PT since 2005. She focuses her practice on orthopaedic and movement dysfunctions for patients 8 and older. She became a certified Pilates teacher through Polestar Education in 2004, a certified strength and conditioning specialist in 2008, an orthopaedic clinical specialist in 2009 and a certified Kinesiotaping practioner in 2010. In her free time, Allison enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys and their dog. The enjoy running, swimming, lifting weights, training for obstacle course races, cooking and traveling.

Amy Babcock

Amy Babcock graduated from St. Ambrose University with a master's degree in Physical Therapy (MPT), after receiving her Master of Science (MS) degree in Exercise Physiology from Iowa State University. She has advanced training and extensive experience in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, including two year-long Australian manual therapy courses (level 1 and advanced). She is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist through the Ola Grimsby Institute, and is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedics. She has worked in the Bay Area since 2001 and was a Clinic Director for 13 years in Mountain View. Special interests include spine, headaches, and TMJ/TMD. Amy is a registered yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga since 2008. She offers yoga therapy as adjunct to physical therapy and teaches local workshops with a focus on anatomy and therapeutics. Amy competed at the national level as a category 1 road cyclist and triathlete and ran track/cross country in college. She enjoys treating athletes with similar interests and is trained in cycling biomechanics and fit. She is committed to helping her patients by combining biomechanics, movement analysis, manual therapy, and yoga training for a unique eclectic approach. Outside of work, Amy enjoys riding her bike, practicing yoga, spending time with her two children, Austin and Sydney, and her 2 dogs, heading to the beach, and watching Chicago Cubs baseball.

Amy Renaud

Amy received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2017 from ATSU in Arizona after graduating with her B.S. in Health Science from the University of Central Florida. After receiving her Doctorate she continued on to complete the Women's Health Residency at Agile Physical therapy. Amy is originally from Danville, California in the east bay. She was an Elite Acrobatic Gymnast and competed internationally on the USA National Team, which is where her original interest in physical therapy began. Her current physical therapy passion resides in Pelvic Health treating Women, Men, and Children. Amy is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and enjoys treating patient's with Lymphedema and cancer care. She has a strong passion for improving the Pelvic Health standards of practice. In her spare time Amy enjoys trying different restaurants, cooking, traveling, snowboarding, running, hiking and spending time with her puppy, family and friends.

Andrew Fung

Andrew earned his doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Southern California. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Andrew enjoyed a brief career in advertising sales after graduating from UCLA with degrees in economics and history. He has since found his true passion in physical therapy. Before joining the Agile Physical Therapy team Andrew worked in an outpatient orthopaedic facility in Portola Valley, CA. He has completed advanced training through an orthopaedic residency and a manual orthopaedic fellowship with the Ola Grimsby Institute. He is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.

Angela Cook

Angela earned her Physical Therapist Assistant license locally from Ohlone College in 2013. Her road into physical therapy was not a linear path, but rather the summation of lot of different experiences over the years, the turning point being when she needed some therapy herself. She enjoys being able to help others in the same way now, and is grateful to be a part of a team where furthering education to provide the best patient care is prioritized. She is currently pursuing advanced proficiency in orthopaedics through the APTA. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, Orangetheory, mentoring high schoolers through her church, and the Giants (it's been a tough couple years!).

Anna Hoang

A Bay Area native, Anna graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA, after completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State University, CA. She has also completed the Agile Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Residency program. Anna enjoys collaborating with patients to achieve their personal goals through functional exercises and movements. She helps empower patients to learn how to, and succeed in, performing daily activities to make daily life easier. Anna strives to help patients where they need guidance and celebrates with them when they are able to improve the way they move on their own. While she loves helping others reach their goals, she also appreciates learning from her patients as well: anything from places to visit, how-to lessons, or even cooking tips! In her spare time, you can find Anna spending time with friends, family, and her animals, either out and about or equally cozy at home. She enjoys listening to music, dancing, and learning new skills and hobbies.

Audrey King

Audrey King, PT, DPT, OCS, joined Agile in 2017. She has a B.A. in English Literature and a B.F.A in Dance Performance. Audrey became a certified Pilates instructor through a year-long intensive in 2008. In the process she found herself assisting several clients who were managing complex medical conditions. This inspired her to pursue an even greater understanding of the body's systems during physical rehabilitation. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. Audrey enjoys working with patients of all ages and stages, as their partner and advocate for care. She strives to be guided by evidence-based care, exploring opportunities to maximize functional movement patterns and utilizing a holistic Lifestyle Medicine approach to treat the whole person. In 2020 she became a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. She has been studying plant-based nutrition since 2018, with a Certificate from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell in 2020. In 2021 Audrey became a certified Health Coach. She enjoys incorporating coaching techniques to identify patient centered goals and behavior change to increase patient confidence with movement. Beyond patient care, as an Operations Manager, Audrey is passionate about creating processes that provide the opportunity for providers to spend more time partnering with patients. In her spare time Audrey furthers her Pilates craft with reformer workouts at home and nurtures her passion for dance by taking dance classes whenever her schedule allows. She loves getting outdoors with her husband and kids, along with spending quality time with family and friends.

Benjamin Kong

Benjamin Kong earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of the Pacific shortly after earning his BS Kinesiology degree from SF State. Using his combined physical therapy experiences from UCSF, San Joaquin General Hospital, and several private outpatient clinics, he enjoys adapting and customizing therapy treatments to match each patient's individual needs. Regardless of their age or activity level, he likes inspiring patients to be proactive in climbing their personal ladder of physical fitness and educating patients to understand their bodies better. Some of his favorite sayings are "It's important to work with the patient and not on them. Rehabilitation is a partnership not a project." And "Helping patients is like peeling an onion. There are usually multiple layers to their problem and we'll keep peeling 'til nothing is left."

Bianca Castro

Bianca graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology from UC Davis before continuing on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at University of California, San Francisco. She became passionate about physical therapy at a take your daughter to work day at UCSF when she was 10 years old and since then her interest for movement has only grown. With a passion for teaching and research, Bianca has instructed multiple anatomy courses for UC Davis as well as UCSF. She has also contributed to numerous research projects including a study examining the effects of myofascial decompression on IT band syndrome in long distance runners. Bianca believes that each individual has unique needs and benefits most from personalized care. She uses her extensive knowledge of the human body to optimize treatments for each patient, whether that treatment is hands-on manual techniques or therapeutic exercises. When not at the gym or working, she enjoys playing competitive soccer and surfing. If not enjoying a game, you can find Bianca traveling, cooking, skiing, or adventuring in nature.

Brenna Lewman

Brenna earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy from San Diego State University, in 2020 and 2016 respectively. Upon receiving her Doctorate degree, Brenna returned to San Francisco to complete a one-year Orthopedic Residency Program at Kaiser Permanente in preparation to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Brenna was a Varsity soccer player at Carlmont High School and grew up playing softball, basketball, and soccer. After being injured in her Sophomore year and attending months of physical therapy, she realized that becoming a Physical Therapist was her calling. As a former high school soccer player and lifelong athlete, Brenna has developed a passion for rehabilitating athletes so that they can return to the sport they love - stronger and smarter. She believes that no two injuries are exactly the same, and each patient deserves a unique individualized program to help them reach their specific goals. Brenna strives to use the latest evidence and modern methodology to create a program that will help patients return to their best quality of life, while also focusing on injury prevention. In her free time Brenna enjoys hiking, running, and high intensity interval training. She loves traveling, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and tiring out her German Shorthaired Pointer named Ace.

Brett Lando

Brett earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco State University. He is a graduate of Agile's year long Orthopaedic Residency and a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. After residency, he successfully completed the Agile Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Fellowship. He taught physical therapy students during their clinical rotations since beginning at Agile, and he currently mentors in the orthopaedic residency. Brett has a passion for cycling. He shares his knowledge and experience of bike fitting and cycling movement analysis with the Agile Fellowship and local cycling community.

Bryan Tachibana

Bryan Tachibana completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. Afterwards, he pursued and completed his Orthopaedic Residency and Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship at Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL. Prior to physical therapy school, Bryan graduated from the University of Miami (FL) with his Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training. With his time in Jacksonville, Bryan volunteered time with the local high school sports medicine department and developed a program to collaborate outpatient orthopedics into Brooks Rehabilitation's inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Bryan is interested in all facets of sports medicine: prevention, rehabilitation, return to sport, and maintenance throughout the season. He pushes for his patients to stay active and strives for collaborative efforts to return his patients back to their goals and highest potential. In his spare time, Bryan enjoys hiking, rock climbing, volleyball, and cooking.

Bryan Wong

Bryan is a Bay Area native, graduating from UCSF/SFSU in 2020 earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is Orthopedic Residency trained. Bryan has a background in dragonboating, competitively lifting weights, and recreational sports. Through his experiences, he has seen first-hand how the lack of exercise and structured physical activity has been to our population's detriment, both young and old. Through communication, exercise specifically tailored to each patient, hands-on care, and joint decision making, Bryan assures that each patient is listened to and works with each patient to guide them in achieving their goals. In his spare time, he enjoys learning things outside of his craft, staying active, giving to community, spending time with loved ones, and exploring new areas with his girlfriend, and her dog Fluffy.

Carly Crompton

Carly received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University in New York after completing her Bachelor's in Science in Nutrition and Physiology from UC Berkeley. As a current resident through the Agile Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency program, she is excited to continue expanding her knowledge and skills for providing the best individualized care for all of her patients. Prior to joining Agile, Carly worked in outpatient orthopedics in Manhattan, NY. Carly enjoys working with patients of all activity levels to achieve their goals. She grew up dancing classical and contemporary ballet and enjoys staying connected to dance by working with performing artists. A Bay Area native, Carly enjoys hiking, cooking, dancing and rock climbing.

Carrie Lee

Carrie hails from the Bay Area and graduated from the Program in Physical Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Prior to Wash U, Carrie received her BA in Human Biodynamics from UC Berkeley, where she played on Cal's field hockey team. Her early years of patient care were at Stanford Medical Center Outpatient Clinic, where she enjoyed learning from the senior PT's, making custom orthotics, and managing the student program. She also completed a yearlong Australian manual therapy course while at Stanford Medical Center. She moved to San Francisco and valued her years working with a wide variety of patients while at PT-owned clinics in Oakland, and then SF. During these years, she found professional growth through interacting with PT students, taking continuing education, and participating in journal clubs. Carrie is excited to be a part of the team at Agile PT as a physical therapist in San Francisco and to continue to work with and learn from her patients- youth to super senior, toe pain to neck pain, and everything in between. Sometime in the 2010's, Carrie traded in being a field hockey weekend warrior for coaching and managing youth soccer. Her most recent interest is stand up paddleboarding with her husband and daughter.

Catherine Li

Catherine is a Bay Area local from Los Altos. She completed her doctorate of physical therapy at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland after receiving her bachelor of science degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in physiology from the University of California, Davis. As a current resident in Agile Physical Therapy's Orthopaedic Residency program, she is excited to expand her knowledge to provide the best care for her patients. In addition to the adult orthopaedic population, she loves working with the pediatric population on gross motor development. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering to coach for a local high school track team and spending time with friends, family, and any dog that comes her way.

Chasey Zulueta

Chasey is a strength and conditioning/athletic performance coach from the San Francisco Bay Area. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology. During his time at Cal, he was a practice player for the women's basketball team. After Cal, he went to San Jose State University for graduate school. He received a Master's of Arts in Exercise Physiology from SJSU, and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Chasey has experience working with athletes from a variety of sports at the youth, high school, club, collegiate, and professional level. Most notably, he returned to Cal and worked with their strength and conditioning department for two years. During his time there, he assisted in the training of their Olympic-based sport teams. These teams include basketball, volleyball, swimming/diving, cross-country, track and field, and water polo. In addition, Chasey has worked in an outpatient/orthopedic clinic for three years. At the clinic, he worked with a team of physical therapists to help many active individuals return-to-sport/work/hobbies following an assortment of orthopedics procedures/injuries. These procedures include the following, but are not limited to ACL reconstruction, total knee replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and achilles ruptures. Chasey loves being a strength coach and the opportunities it provides to impact people's lives. He believes it takes a team effort to improve someone's health, wellness, and performance. Outside of coaching, Chasey enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing basketball, and staying active.

Christin Tate

Christin received her undergraduate degree in kinesiology and psychology from Gordon College, MA and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Springfield College, MA. She recently completed her masters in project management in 2021 from Georgetown University to aid Agile in creating programs that bring value to patients and providers. She completed the Agile Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Residency year-long program in addition to attending several courses at USC upon completion. Christin is a Board Certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. She completed Agile's Pelvic and Gender Health Residency in 2017 and is board certified in this speciality as well. Christin has contributed to research projects on stroke rehabilitation, and anticipatory responses during cycling, as well as teaching undergraduate courses. Beyond research, her interests reside in pelvic and gender health and orthopaedic athletic populations. She has worked in a wide variety of outpatient orthopaedic clinics and holds certifications in both FMS and SFMA. Christin is passionate about influencing her patient's movement and pain, and empowering them to be advocates for their own health and wellness. In her spare time she enjoys running, reading, spinning, yoga, watching New England sports, soccer and has completed several half and full marathons.

Christina Ho

Christina Ho completed her doctorate in physical therapy from UC San Francisco and San Francisco State University, and her bachelors of science in Biology from UC Santa Barbara. She is a graduate of the Agile Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Residency year-long program and the Agile Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Fellowship program. In addition, due to her background as a gymnast and coach, she brings extensive training in gymnastics to the Agile team. Her background includes working with a wide variety of orthopaedic patients, but she's most passionate about helping pediatric patients reach their exercise and sport-specific goals. In her spare time, Christina enjoys being active with running, rock climbing, acro yoga, and weight lifting.
