Adam Adishian

Before coming to NWESI, Adam had a penchant for working with his hands and building things. This came through in particular with his interest in collecting and restoring old technology. His work background includes being a part of the food service industry where he learned to cook a great falafel while with a Lebanese restaurant. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his two cats, and tries to go kayaking every weekend.

Billy Reidy

Billy joined NWESI shortly after leaving his hometown of sunny San Diego, California. Just two years ago after deciding he wanted a change, he took a chance on the Pacific Northwest and moved to Portland. Though he came to NWESI with a background in customer service and carpentry, he's since gained more confidence and pride in the new work he does with NWESI. Outside of work, Billy enjoys camping, going to the range, snowboarding, and taking on river adventures and rock climbing. Education: Cuyamaca College

Brent Hiller

Brent started out as an HVAC technician and soon learned to install heating and cooling systems for commercial and residential. Over time he shifted to controls where he programmed and installed Barber Coleman systems and completed four years of electrical training. Eventually that led him to TAB work where he completed his CT and spent the last 14 yrs of his career. He joined NWESI in 2021, where he will continue as a Technician. Of his work, Brent states, "I've been fortunate to be able to attend and complete so many different specialized trainings through out the years." When not at work Brent enjoys spending time in his backyard, aka Idaho. The outdoors have always provided him a lot of great adventures, and he rarely turn down an opportunity to try something new.

Chelsea Sporkia

Chelsea is the latest addition to the AIR team. Chelsea recently graduated with honors from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia, where she attended on a bowling scholarship. She also works and bowls at a local bowling alley that is run and operated by her family. As an administrative assistant, Chelsea will be taking on a variety of accounting, clerical, and administrative tasks. Education: Bachelor of Science, Business Management Emmanuel College

Chris Patton

After 13 years working as a mechanic, Chris was looking for a new challenge. In 2013, he joined NWESI's team of TAB technicians and has been a key individual in Oregon's Site Sustaining Division. Chris has been married for twelve years and together they have two children, a daughter and a son. Chris and his family enjoy the outdoors; fishing, hunting and hiking. Any other free time is spent on woodworking and leathercraft.

Corinna Brence

Corinna joined the team in 2012 after many years in construction administration. Her background working on prestigious projects at Portland's South Waterfront have enhanced NWESI's depth of knowledge and proficiency. When she joined the team she began working for NWESI's Site Sustaining Division supporting High-Tech clients on site in the Portland-Metro region. In the last few years, her position has expanded from data entry to accounting, reporting and providing support to engineers and technicians on various assignments. Corinna also supports NWESI's safety committee. As a native Oregonian, Corinna takes any opportunity to enjoy the Columbia River Gorge and visit the Oregon Coast any chance she gets.

David Cunningham

After completing his Degree in Mechanical Engineering, David joined NWESI in 1996. His experience includes Testing, Adjusting & Balancing, Cleanroom Performance Testing and certification, and Commissioning services. At NWESI his goals are to ensure we deliver services that help building systems maintain safe, comfortable, energy efficient, and sustainable environments for our customers. Prior to taking on the field of mechanical engineering, David was a man-portable air defense system crew member for the US Army in Germany. When not at work David likes spending time with his wife and son boating, fishing, watching stock car racing, and pretty much doing anything related to real and model railroads. David Novet

David started at NWESI in the summer of 2022 as an assistant technician. He brings eight years of master certified Mazda service technician experience. His hobbies include riding dirt bikes and quads at the sand dunes, and just about any outdoor activities such as mountain biking, camping, and hiking. He also love trying new foods and experiences!

David Ochoa

David joined NWESI in 2018. Before that time, he has worked in the motion picture and television industry as a grip, best boy grip, key grip and set electrician. His job specifically focused on supporting the camera department by designing and building custom camera mounts and rigging. After spending a number of years traveling on the road away from home to pursue his film career, David decided to retire from the film business in order to spend more time with his family. He has held various jobs including commercial fisherman, oilfield roustabout, corporate travel consultant and film equipment rental shop manager. David is an avid surfer and spends as much time as he can in the water. He also enjoys sport fishing, playing music, and building custom radio gigs and antennas.

Derek joined NWESI full time in December of 2018 with a heavy background in customer service. Derek plans to enroll at PCC/PSU within the next year to continue his education in Mechanical Engineering as he continues to work and gain experience with NWESI. He loves the culinary arts, hiking, camping, and exotic animals. Education: Oregon State University

Dustin Kidd

Dustin began working with NWESI in 2019 after wanting to explore new work opportunities. Entering the field of Commissioning was a great chance to work in an expanding sector and learn from others. Dustin brings with him a great deal of workmanship, determination, and motivation while taking particular notice of safety practices in his environment. Outside of work, Dustin enjoys movies, video games, and being outside as much as possible. Some of his favorite activities include hiking, camping, fishing, rock hounding, and being on the river. Gayle McDowell

Being the daughter of one of the founders of NWESI has afforded Gayle the ability to see the many changes the company has had through the years. During middle and high school, Gayle's dad would periodically bring home blueprints and taught Gayle how to color in the different heating, cooling and water systems. In 1987, after teaching elementary school for a few years and substitute teaching, Gayle's dad offered her a job at NWESI. Gayle no longer colors blueprints, but she stays busy with her roles in the administrative area, including Accounts Payable, keeping corporate state and city licenses current, assisting with Human Resources responsibilities and many other duties. In her spare time, Gayle enjoys spending time with her two adorable grandchildren who recently moved back to the Portland area from Brooklyn, NY. Janice Erickson

Janice began working at NWESI in the fall of 2019, bringing with her 40 years of experience in Accounting, Administrative support, and office management from construction and engineering industries. As a Portland native, Janice is an avid fan of the Portland Trail Blazers. When not at work, she enjoys singing, attending symphonies, and spending time with family including her two black cats, terrific husband, (now grown) children, and her grandsons. Jason Van Horn

Jason joined NWESI in the spring of 2018, after moving back to Oregon from Hawaii where he was working with a general contractor. Jason plans to enroll at PSU within the next year to further his education in Mechanical Engineering as he continues to grow with NWESI. Outside of working for NWESI, Jason enjoys playing and coaching soccer in the greater Portland-Metro area. Jeff Huntley

Jeff's career began working at Balzhiser & Colvin Engineers (now, BHE Group) designing HVAC systems. After 10 years, he founded Air Introduction & Regulation of Eugene which is now referred to as "AIR". AIR's reputation for high quality Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) has led to work on exciting projects throughout the Pacific Northwest, Florida, Washington D.C., and Hawaii. At least twelve AIR employees have continued on in the TAB industry and that is an accomplishment Jeff is proud to share. In 2010, NWESI purchased AIR, a firm that shares the same values for high quality engineering services. When not working or traveling with his wife Rosie, Jeff lives to play golf. Jesse Colvin

Jesse joined NWESI as a technician in 2000, and through his years of service has become a trusted partner to many clients, managing long-term complex projects in the region. Jesse has mastered the process for project mobilization of remote office space, maintaining client satisfaction and clear, consistent reporting. His main focus has been in High-Tech, Healthcare, and Commercial Testing, Adjusting and Balancing, as well as Cleanroom Performance Testing. Jesse is a level headed leader who excels at data collection review, supervision of large crews and schedule coordination. When not at work, you are likely to find Jesse in one of two places: out on the water fishing or hacking it up on the golf course. He enjoys spending time outdoors and camping with his wife, family and friends.

Jewel Kayfes

Jewel leads NWESI's Business Development Division across Oregon, Idaho and Washington. As a senior member of the leadership team, she works diligently with NWESI's Division Leaders to form business development and strategic marketing goals, and actively engages in short and long-term company planning. She is skilled in strategic planning, relationship management and marketing strategy. Jewel directs business development initiatives to position NWESI with clients and industry partners that share our core values of quality service and professionalism. Jewel serves on NWESI's ESOP Executive Board of Directors, and is serving as CREW Portland's (Commercial Real Estate Women) 2021 President. CREW is a dynamic organization that works to transform the CRE industry by advancing women globally. In 2020, Jewel was awarded DJC's Women of Vision. This program supports the women who are shaping our built environment with their leadership, mentoring efforts, community involvement and the promotion of industry diversity. Josh joined AIR (a division of NWESI) in 2016 and is in the forth period of the TAB Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee program (JATC). Josh performs air and water balancing services on various projects in diverse market sectors. When Josh isn't working, he enjoys playing softball, spending time with his family, fishing, and taking spontaneous trips.
