Bill Armelin

Bill Armelin is a Principal Consultant with AKF Partners. Prior to joining AKF, Bill spent 15 years at New Balance Athletic Shoe leading various enterprise-level ERP, PLM, and Retail IT projects. He also helped New Balance establish its program management office for corporate IT projects. Prior to New Balance, Bill held various consulting, engineering, and operational positions at Arthur Andersen, Airborne Express, and Alcatel. He spent eight years on active and reserve duty as an officer in the US Army. Bill has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy, an MBA from the University of Connecticut, and an MS in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University.

Brian Cunningham

Brian is an experienced tech entrepreneur and patent-holding inventor who has co-founded multiple companies resulting in successful acquisitions. With over 25 years experience in software architecture and engineering taking a central role in project design and development and acting as a bridge between business and technical requirements, while actively leading teams and mentoring developers from around the world. As a founding Chief Architect, Brian has designed and built large-scale applications across a range of industries including retail, financial services, healthcare, media, entertainment and insurance for clients such as Verizon, PNC Bank, Rakuten, Starbucks, LG Electronics, Discovery Channel, Aetna, Mattel, WebMD, Clinique, America's Got Talent, Black & Decker, Elite Modeling, Coach, TRX, Denver Broncos, GNC and Footlocker.

Dave Berardi

Dave is an entrepreneur and veteran tech leader at small, medium and Fortune 500 companies with over 20 years of experience in technology. At AKF he has conducted several technical due diligence engagements for clients across different industries and has been in several interim leadership roles including CTO, Chief Architect, Director of Ops, Director of Product Management. He has helped clients with SaaS transformations and agile organization. Prior to joining AKF, he was a leader in tech ops at Progressive helping to scale operations across a technology shop of over 2,400 engineers.He was responsible for building and leading both incident and problem management teams to support Progressive's revenue-critical systems, such asquote and buy, for Progressive.com that processes nearly 125,000 quotes and 25,000 buys a week. In addition to operations, Dave was an engineering manager helping teams to build a system that 12,000 adjustors across the United States use to manage and pay over $100 million annually on claims payments. Prior to Progressive, Dave spent 8 years in various leadership roles at both GE Aviation and GE Consumer Products implementing global systems in Europe, South America, and the US ranging from purchased solutions to in-house solutions and data warehousing. While at GE, he was a Six Sigma Black Belt and helped to lead the utilization of its principles across the technology organization. He has an MBA from Case Western Reserve University with a focus in Entrepreneurship and Organizational Behavior and has a Bachelors in MIS and Marketing from the University of Cincinnati.

David Blatherwick

Spanning over a dozen diverse business-verticals, David is a technology and leader with over 30 years of experience in software product and services companies. He has served in numerous roles including CTO, EVP, VP and Executive Director of Engineering and Software. He joins AKF bringing with him his deep technology, product development and management, and leadership experience. David has a rich history of bringing breakthrough software products to market in banking, healthcare, communications, web scale consumer applications, and mobile technology. In his former position as Director of Software Products at Sybase, an SAP company, he led the development and delivery of the IBM MQ Integrator product suite, served on the Microsoft BizTalk Steering Committee, and the Sybase Strategic Vision Committee. While Senior Vice President of Software Development at Recondo Technology, he secured investor funding through the demonstration of viable, revolutionary technology targeted to the creation of a market driven healthcare system. As Director of Software Products at TeleTech, he created and led a software product company, CES, dedicated to the development and delivery of a new paradigm in customer to business interactions and relationship management. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado.

Tom is a veteran IT and technology executive with both Fortune 500 executive and startup executive experience. Tom's experience includes 6 years at eBay where he was VP of Infrastructure, VP of Operations and VP of Architecture. Tom oversaw all of eBay's technical operations globally, including those of its wholly owned subsidiaries such as PayPal. Tom helped grow the technical infrastructure to achieve world class availability and scalability ultimately serving billions of requests per day and was a member of eBay's Extended Executive Staff. Prior to eBay, Tom held executive management position in Operation and Architecture at Gateway and Gateway Country stores. Prior to Gateway, Tom held executive management positions in Whirlpools Global operations organization. He managed infrastructure and operations organizations on three continents. Tom attended Ferris State and serves on the technical advisory boards of Salesforce.com, Rearden Commerce, LiveOps, Goldmail, Tiversa and Bix.com.
