Achille Biteau

Achille joined Ammunition in 2012, and has played an integral role as part of the industrial design team to create award-winning products and experiences for Fortune 500 companies and startups alike. As a Design Director, Achille works closely with clients to bring ideas from concept through to manufacturing. He is particularly passionate about making beautifully crafted, lasting designs accessible to mass audiences. Examples of his work include Beats EP headphones and Powerbeats wireless earphones, among others. Originally from France, Achille graduated with a BA in Industrial Design and MA in Design Management from ISD India. Prior to joining Ammunition Achille worked with advanced design departments and design studios across Europe. His work has been recognized by IDEA, Spark, and IF product design awards. A contemporary art enthusiast, Achille is involved with local museums and organizations. He is also the co-founder of two music and entertainment labels.

Andrew Bauer

Andy guides the strategic output of the studio, working with our partners and teams to identify the most compelling user insights and market opportunities to address through new products, services, and brands. His work has spanned from fashion to pharmaceuticals including Coca-Cola,Eli Lilly, Levi Strauss and Co.,SC Johnson, Stryker Medical Devices, and The North Face. Prior to joining Ammunition, Andy was a principal strategist at Radius Silicon Valley, Thrive, and Trend Influence / The Media Kitchen. Previously, he was the Global Insights Manager at Millicom/Tigo, a multinational telecommunications-based service provider to emerging markets across Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa, where he focused on increasing adoption of smartphones, mobile data, and mobile financial services.

Bart Jansen

As Director of Packaging based in Brooklyn, Bart leads a team focused on designing packaging and retail environments as a natural extension of the studio's industrial design projects. Bart's design philosophy is to put the user at the center of the experience, while developing sustainable solutions from an environmental, production and pack-out point of view. Born and raised in the Netherlands, Bart graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven and relocated to New York City in 2007. Over the past 15 years he has been working as an independent consultant as well as for several leading design agencies on consumer products, packaging and retail environments for clients including Band-Aid, Blackberry, Calvin Klein, Diageo, Hugo Boss, Johnson & Johnson, Lacoste, Marc Jacobs, Microsoft, Proctor & Gamble Prestige, Stella McCartney, Umbra and Xbox.

Christopher Kuh

Christopher joined Ammunition in 2008, and has played an integral role within the studio's industrial design group to create meaningful product experiences for clients such as Beats by Dr. Dre, Dell, Polaroid, Skype and Sky, as well as numerous startups. As Creative Director for Beats by Dr. Dre, he led Ammunition's industrial design efforts on several high profile products. In his current role, Christopher focuses on managing Ammunition's ID team, providing ongoing project leadership, coordination, creative direction and mentoring. Prior to joining Ammunition, Christopher worked with companies including fuseproject and Volkswagen. A native of Germany, Christopher graduated from the University of Duisburg-Essen with a degree in Industrial Design. His work has been recognized by IDEA, Spark and Good Design awards.

Darcy DiNucci

Darcy has spent the last 25 years developing interactive experiences for industry leading companies. As head of user experience at Ammunition, she focuses on designing end-to-end experiences that crystallize a business's value for the people who engage with it. Darcy's work has been instrumental in the success of client projects for Adobe, Intel, the University of California, Williams-Sonoma, and many others ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Ammunition, Darcy was VP of User Experience for Method, and has led UX programs as a consultant with other top design firms including Adaptive Path, Sequence, and Smart Design. She is the author of three books on interaction design, including the best-selling "Elements of Web Design." Darcy has been credited with coining the term "Web 2.0" in her influential article, "Fragmented Future," published in Print magazine in 1999.

Guillaume Raoult

As a Design Director for Ammunition, Guillaume focuses on crafting simple, iconic, long-lasting designs, while providing mentorship and leadership to the industrial design team. Since joining Ammunition in 2012, he has worked with various start-ups and major brands including Beats, Lyft, Square, Polaroid and Skype, bringing ideas to market from concept to implementation. Prior to moving to San Francisco, Guillaume lived in the UK, Africa, France and India which helped him broaden his understanding of diverse cultures and human behaviors. A native of France, Guillaume holds a Master's degree in Industrial Design and his work has won numerous awards from IDEA, Red Dot, and Spark.

Hamish Thain

With deep expertise designing out-of-box experiences for consumer products, Hamish runs Ammunition's packaging design practice from the Brooklyn studio. Approaching packaging design as an extension of the product design process was a natural progression from his industrial design training and early career in London. Prior to joining Ammunition, Hamish was Creative Director at Burgopak USA in Chicago where he created packaging for clients such as Blackberry, Bloomingdale's, L'Oreal, Microsoft, Motorola, Nike, Proctor and Gamble, and REI. Hamish's work has been featured in iD magazine, appeared in a Jason Bourne movie, and received awards from DuPont, IDSA and GDUSA.

Matt Rolandson

As the head of experience design and design strategy at Ammunition, Matt works hands-on with the studio's clients and partners to create new product and service businesses that engage consumers in meaningful ways. Matt has worked in close partnership with the founders of numerous startups and with leaders of organizations including Apple, Skype, Starbucks, Square, Target, and the University of California, among others. Prior to Ammunition, Matt was President of MetaDesign in the US and a strategist at frog, where he led product and service innovation programs for clients including 23andMe, Autodesk, DirectTV, HP, and Shangri-La hotels. Matt has appeared as a guest speaker and judge for design industry events and his work has received numerous awards including Core77 Design, IxDA, Red Dot, and The Webby Awards. A native San Franciscan, Matt is a graduate of UC Berkeley where he studied sociology and architecture. An avid cyclist, Matt is occasionally seen taking a lap around the studio on his bicycle.

Peter Rack - Managing Director

Peter works in close collaboration with Ammunition's partners to manage and develop the studio's business. He ensures the smooth running of the studio's operations and works to facilitate an environment where the team can focus on doing great work.

Robert Brunner - Founder

Robert founded Ammunition in 2007 to communicate ideas through products, brands, and their surrounding experiences. His work as an industrial designer has spawned numerous brand- defining designs over the past three decades. Prior to founding Ammunition, Robert was a partner at Pentagram and led strategic brand consulting and industrial design programs for Fortune 500 companies. Previously, he was the Director of Industrial Design for Apple, where he established its pioneering internal corporate design organization, Apple IDg. Before joining Apple, Robert co-founded design consultancy Lunar. Named one of Fast Company's "Most Creative People in Business," Robert's work is included in the permanent design collections of the MoMA in both New York and San Francisco. He is the co-author of the book "Do You Matter? How Great Design Will Make People Love Your Company."

Steve Sangik Lee

Steve joined Ammunition in 2010 and has focused on creating and bringing to market unique products and experiences for consumers. In his role as Director of Industrial Design, he works closely with the team to provide creative direction and mentorship. Steve has created award winning designs for clients including Adobe, Cafe X, Deep Sentinel, Eargo, Lyft, Polaroid and Williams-Sonoma, among others. A native of South Korea, Steve graduated from KAIST in Daejeon and holds an MFA in Industrial Design from the Academy of Art University.

Victoria Slaker

Victoria helped form Ammunition in 2007, and as a leader for the industrial design group, she has been instrumental in cultivating one of the industry's most awarded design teams. Working with a broad range of companies from nascent startups to global brands, Victoria focuses on creating beautiful, iconic products that build businesses and define categories. Prior to joining Ammunition, Victoria was an associate partner at Pentagram in San Francisco and the founder of industrial design consultancy, Automatic, Inc. She has also worked with leading design firms including IDEO and Montgomery Pfeifer. Victoria graduated with a BFAA in industrial design from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She served as President of the Product Design Jury for the 2017 D&AD Awards, and as juror for the Fast Company Innovation by Design Awards and the IDSA IDEA Awards. Her work has been recognized by IDEA, Red Dot, Spark, and iF product design awards.
