AMG was founded in 1904 as the Akron Metallic Gasket Company. In 1972, AMG officially entered the automotive market and the first decorative exhaust assemblies were provided to Cadillac Motor Car Division. Today, AMG's business continues to supply the automotive arena, working closely on engineering and design for manufacturability with OEMs and Tier 1s. Current OEMs include Ford Motor Car Company, Honda Automotive, Stallantis Automobile Company, Mack Trucks, Kenworth, and Toyota... Since 1966, AMG has been based in Mount Vernon, Ohio (approximately 55 miles Northeast of Columbus, Ohio) in a 200,000 square-foot facility. AMG is ISO-9001 certified and employs roughly 150 associates... At AMG, another foundational business segment is our stamping and manufacturing of stampings and spacers used in extremely tight tolerance applications.
