A POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE

Established in 1990, A Positive Alternative provides a unique and progressive approach to treatment for substance use concerns. We are a State Certified Outpatient Program offering two separate programs, one for men and one for women. Our treatment program offers an alternative that does not focus on AA and that uses evidence-based skills and tools to treat addictive patterns of behavior... At A Positive Alternative, we can help make the transition to an alcohol and drug free life so much easier than trying to do it on your own. We use a unique and positive program of treatment and recovery. It's an approach that is especially helpful to women who don't like or won't use the AA program... For individuals struggling with addictive behaviors, including problematic alcohol or drug use, disordered eating, and behavioral addictions such as gambling, A Positive Alternative offers this independent 6-week program.
