Desirae Kirby

PEng, B.E. Chem. (UQ), GradIEAust, AMIChemE, Assoc Mem RSNZ, Mem Water NZ Desirae Kirby is the Sustainability Advisor for the Rotorua Sustainable Charter (hosted and managed by APR Consultants). The Rotorua Sustainable Charter is a member organisation of mainly tourism businesses, dedicated to promoting a sustainable and regenerative tourism ethos within the Rotorua District. The Charter has been in operation for nearly 25 years. Desirae works with member businesses to provide best practice technical advice and provide members with practical and affordable solutions to their sustainability needs. This includes areas such as carbon accounting, waste minimisation, product stewardship and natural resources. Desirae is also the principal trainer for the Business Sustainability Development Programme, working with a range of businesses across the tourism, hospitality, accommodation and manufacturing sectors. Desirae's 30+ year career as a professional engineer has seen her develop expertise in environmental resource management, sustainability practice and communication, research and project management, resource consent applications, water science and iwi and government liaison at all levels.

Elvis Bowring

Elvis has been APR's IT and Data Manager since 1993, overseeing and maintaining the data analysis systems and field research teams. He has extensive experience in data analysis using various software products to generate appropriate qualitative and quantitative results.

Jenna Wilbore

Jenna completed a Bachelor of Commerce & Management at Lincoln University in 2009. She joined the APR team in 2015 in the accounts department and is responsible for the daily accounts and payroll. She works alongside the consultancy team with the billing of projects. Jenna enjoys the organisational aspect of her role and respects an orderly workspace.

Jonathon Bannatyne

Hypnotherapy Jonathon has expertise in preparing feasibility and impact studies, as well as various types of market analysis for both proposed and existing business ventures.

Katie Robinson

Katie completed a Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education in 2016. She also has a background in administration, customer service and data entry. Her experience in both industries has led to her current role in APR - administration within the accounts team. She was previously employed within our consultancy team whilst completing her degree. She enjoys learning about the accounting processes, extending her knowledge and skills; along with creating new procedures and implementing new systems.

Kerry Dyke

Kerry has an extensive background in accounting and administration. She has been employed with APR for many years in its various forms since 2005. Kerry is currently responsible for financial accounts and payroll for our longstanding clients. She enjoys working to deadline's, problem-solving and reconciling the accounts. When she is not at the office Kerry has interests in gardening, walking and many forms of craft and is very family orientated.

Lisa Norton

Lisa is the public face of APR consultants, acting as the first port of call for clients interested in working with our team. Lisa has an extensive background in office management, administration, and tourism, with a passion for working with people and the community. As the Receptionist at the Business Hub, Lisa looks after the tenants, maintenance, meeting room bookings, client arrivals and queries.

Paul Killerby

M.M.S. (Waikato), G.Dip.Appl.Stats (Massey) MNZAE Paul is a strategic planning and research specialist with experience in both private consultancy and the local government sector. His expertise includes strategic planning, policy analysis, facilitation, consultation, social research, economic research, community development, communication, statistical analysis and qualitative analysis. Paul has published papers in New Zealand Local Government Magazine, New Zealand Planning Quarterly, the Social Policy Journal of New Zealand, Sustaining Regions Journal, the International Journal of Social Economics and Australasian Journal of Regional Science.
