Biography Alison Melson has responsibilities for marketing and communications for Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She oversees advertising, marketing and public relations; communications and content development, digital sales and customer experience. Melson joined Arkansas Blue Cross in September 2019 as vice president of Corporate Marketing. She previously served as communications manager at Entergy Arkansas, LLC, and as vice president of communications and marketing for CARTI. She has held public relations leadership positions at Acxiom Corporation and Stone Ward, and early in her career, she was a feature writer for the High Profile section of what is now the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Alison is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), past president of the Arkansas Chapter of PRSA and recipient of the 2018 PRSA Crystal Award for lifetime service to her profession of public relations. She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock and has served on the boards of directors for Susan G. Komen Arkansas and Riverfest, Inc. A Pine Bluff native, Alison holds a bachelor's degree in public information and journalism from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Biography Brett Trelfa serves as senior vice president and chief information officer for Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where he has responsibility for leading Information Technology and Information Security strategies. Trelfa joined Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 2020 with 16 years of health insurance technology experience, having served as vice president and CIO for Humana's Medicare and Medicaid segment. He also served as a technology leader at General Motors, ThyssenKrupp North America, and CriTech Research. A native of Alpena, Mich., Trelfa is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Michigan and his master's degree in Information Systems Management at Carnegie Mellon University.

Bryan Dorathy has the responsibility for guiding our healthcare innovations to better serve our employer groups and improve their employees' outcomes. Bryan joined Arkansas Blue Cross in May 2012 as a market manager for small group sales in central and southeast Arkansas. During his tenure, he has served as regional executive for the central, south central, southeast and southwest regions of the state. He has also been responsible for large and small group sales and marketing, as well as worker's compensation and managed-care network products. Bryan has worked in the health insurance industry since 1995. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Biography Cal Kellogg's responsibilities include oversight of the strategic planning process, diversified investment activities, business development, internal control and compliance, government and media relations and administrative oversight of the Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas. Kellogg joined Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 1995 as director of Plan Development and Integration. He was promoted to vice president of Enterprise Development Services in 1997 and, in 2009, was named senior vice president of Strategy Development and chief strategy officer. In 2013, he was promoted to executive vice president. In 2017, he was named Chief Executive Officer and President of our subsidiary organization, USAble Corporation. Prior to joining Arkansas Blue Cross, he served in various administrative and teaching roles at Arkansas Tech University, Illinois State University, the University of Mississippi, and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees and Doctor of Philosophy in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He has received Professional status in the Association of Healthcare Management. Kellogg is the former chairman of the board for the Governor's Quality Award and the Arkansas Health Data Transparency Board. He serves on the Association of Health Insurance Plans Executive Education Advisory Board, Health Advantage Board, Arkansas Center for Health Improvement Health Policy Board, Arkansas Health Data Transparency Board and Echo Health Alliance Investment Committee.

Biography Christy Hockaday, FACHE, joined Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield in July 2020 after more than 20 years of experience in healthcare administration in Arkansas and Louisiana. Hockaday oversees initiatives to establish collaborative relationships and payment models with healthcare providers and achieve mutually beneficial results for Arkansas Blue Cross, its covered members and the providers who care for them. Hockaday earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and a master's degree in health services administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives®.
