AVMetrics was founded in 2005 when Lee Kennedy saw the need for true independent testing of Automated Valuation Models (AVMs)... AVMs are a great innovation. They are inexpensive and reasonably accurate. To measure that accuracy, we test EVERY commercially available AVM using hundreds of thousands of transactions each month. We break down accuracy into thousands of sub-categories. The result is a powerful Model Preference Table TM that ranks models for every valuation need. Then, we take it to the next level: incorporating accuracy measures and risk preferences, we build Cascades to intelligently choose the right AVM for every situation. The result is dramatically reduced expected error, lower risk, and better results at virtually the same cost... We believe in the concept of independent validation. We watch and check so that AVM users can rest assured that they are getting the best possible product and they can trust in the integrity of the industry.
