Carla is the owner of Baldwin Web Design. She is the lead developer and project manager with over twenty years of professional experience.
Carla is the owner and Creative Director of Baldwin Web Design. She has over 20 years experience managing digital marketing projects for clients including branding, website development, social media, printed materials, photography and video production. She oversees work produced by creative team and works directly with clients, managing deliverables within project timelines and budgets.
With her background of software and web development, she has a deep understanding of the implementation of digital products.
Experience and Education
Prior to working in web design and development, Carla was a software developer at BAE SYSTEMS in Rome, NY. At BAE, Carla worked with the software development team and off-site Department of Defense technical team to develop websites for DoD contracts. She was responsible for requirements gathering, designed and developed website front end as well as backend database development. She held a Secret Security Clearance during her time of employment.
Earlier in her career, Carla worked as a software developer for NYSTEC in Rome, NY developing Windows applications for NY State departments. She was involved in requirements gathering, developed the Oracle database, developed user front-end, participated in on-site application testing, debugging and installation.
Carla earned her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art and Business Economics from State University of New York College at Potsdam. She later returned to school to study Computer Science at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute University in Utica, New York.
Carla currently serves on the Downtown Crystal Lake Board of Directors and leads the Marketing Committee. She is also an active member of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Kari is a front-end web developer and WordPress developer with over twenty-six years of professional experience. She is well versed in CSS3, HTML5, MySQL and basic PHP. Kari is also experienced in customizing and extending WordPress themes and core PHP files. Prior to working in web design and development, Kari worked as a Systems Engineer integrating Novell and Microsoft technologies to support end-user environments.
She built and managed Novell and Windows servers as well as managed networks and remote access solutions. She provided first, second and third level help desk support for various levels of end-users. She designed and implemented an automated delivery of a standard workstation image that included on-demand installation of all applications and printers triggered by group/container membership, eliminating help desk calls due to non-standard setups.
She also acted as a project manager and hands-on technical lead in various projects including implementation of disaster recovery procedures, software audits and redesign of networking environments to implement standards.
Kari holds an Associates Degree in Computer Science as well as several industry certifications.
Pete is a full stack developer. He is our data expert and creates custom mobile and web applications including CRM and API integrations. Pete has been working with Baldwin Web Design for over 5 years.
