Angela Kay Schuhmacher

Angela Kay Schuhmacher (Ghee) , "AngeLita Ford!" of Anthem Arizona Passed away April 26th at Honor Health Scottsdale, Arizona Born 1961 Des Moines. Iowa Mercy Hospital Survivors Kevin Schuhmacher Husband and 2 - Cats "Rock and his brother Roll" Steve Ghee Brother Debbie Ghee/LaughmanSister Lori Ghee Sister Bobby Wayne Phillips Brother-in-law Loretta Phillips Sister-in law And a whole lot of neices and nephews. Angela was greeted by her father Ottie Paul Ghee and her loving mother Dorothy Lee Ghee (Charter) in heaven. Angela loved her parents so deeply and is with them again. Angela graduated from Lincoln High in Des Moines Iowa and was Valedictorian 1979. Angela was the pitcher on a fast pitch softball team and she pitched two No Hitters! "PLAY BALL!" Angela graduated from American Institute Of Business. She also attended Iowa's Drake University. She worked as a trainer for a company named ICON a copier company in Tempe Arizona and then later worked and retired from Xerox and was very passionate about her career with them. Angela loved Hawaii, Waikiki was her favorite, she loved it so much she moved there but after a while she missed her parents so she moved back to Arizona to be with them. Angela was a musician, she was a classical pianist and she could sing like a bird, she had a great ear for music. Her favorite band of all time was 38 Special. But she would also say, "I love "Book Of Numbers" better to her husband Kevin" . Angela performed in the tribute band "I Don't Know" The Ozzy Experience singing and jamming guitar performing as "AngeLita Ford", she performed the song "Close My Eyes Forever" with the band paying tribute to Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne's duet. PLUS Angela would change into another character and perform as "Sharon Osbourne", Angela really looked the part and the fans just loved our "Mrs O" ,,, Angela's mother Dorothy said that when she got to heaven she would drop pennies from heaven telling her she loved her... Her father said he would drop dimes because life could change on a dime. Well everywhere she went she would find a pennie and about a foot away a dime.. She then started "Pennies From Heaven" , she made pennie boxes for so many people and spread the word about finding pennies and dimes. Angela was a light on this earth that shined so bright with love and kindness and purity and integrity. Angela loved her two Russian Blue cats, two brothers named "Rock and Roll" given to her by Alan and Heather Niven , Alan once managed "Guns And Roses" and "Great White" so these kitties were real rock stars and she loved them so very much, they already miss her.

Antoinette "Toni" Redfern

Antoinette "Toni" Redfern 1953-2023 Today our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved Daughter, Sister and Friend Toni. On Tuesday May 2, 2023, Toni Redfern passed away at the age of 69 in Phoenix, Arizona. Toni was born on August 1, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, first daughter to Marylin and Charles Redfern. The family moved to Arizona in 1965 where she remained. Toni shared her life with her partner Ron Nicholson for over 30 years and they were totally devoted to each other. Toni is survived by her Mother Marylin Redfern and siblings, Valerie Stapley, Victoria "Vikie" Logie, Allyson Armstrong, Sadie Redfern, Todd Redfern, Riki-Jo Acuna, Aprel Dobson, Reagan Kurtz, Rachel Redfern Rump and many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her first niece Christina Warriner. Toni spent many years selling Real Estate in Phoenix, Arizona, but her true love was traveling, cooking and spending time with her family, nieces and nephews. Toni was happiest and lived her best life in Puerta Vallarta where she and Ron had a time share.

Catherine "Cathy" Navarro

Catherine "Cathy" Navarro, 76, of Glendale, AZ, passed away on April 22, 2023 after a long battle with COPD and recent complications from pneumonia. Catherine was born on August 25,1946 to Woodrow and Marie Harwell in Pueblo , CO. after high school she met John Manuel Massey and they wed, going on to have five children, John Edward , Lora Ann , Wayne Allen and Diane Patricia . After the death of John Manuel Massey in 1970 she found herself a single mother of four until she met Miguel Ángel Navarro in 1972 they wed in 1973 and went on to have a child Miguel Ángel Navarro Jr. in 1974. Catherine dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Catherine excelled at propping up and supporting children, family, and friends through the many passions and difficulties of life. Catherine made it her mission to improve the lives of others. She was known for giving the shirt off her back if you needed it . Catherine was a passionate and giving person always willing to help anyone in need no matter age, skin, color or need. Catherine was predeceased by both her parents Woodrow and Marie, brothers Raymond and Larry as well as sister Lois and half sister Martha . She is survived by her half sister Karen and all five of her children , eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Catherine was a true patriarch of our family and the most loving giving person anyone had the pleasure of knowing. And we are better for that gift . She is deeply missed by all .

Crystal Marie Conover

Crystal Marie Conover, age 41, a Phoenix native, passed away on May 1, 2023. Crystal was a mother, a sister, an artist, and a teacher. Her biggest accomplishments in life were her 4 beautiful children. Crystal was born with an artistic flare and grew to become a very talented artist. Her passion for art led to wanting to teach children about art. Over the last decade, Crystal was an accomplished art teacher in the Phoenix and Peoria elementary school districts. Crystal was a determined and strong woman who had a zest for life. Crystal was a wonderful mother. Her greatest joy was being with her children. She loved watching them use their imaginations and just be kids. Crystal will be in our hearts forever. Crystal leaves behind two daughters: Alison McFall (Taylor) and Meadow; two sons: Morgan and Noah; one granddaughter: Isabella; two sisters: Genesia Mays (Jonas) and April O'Neail (Jeremy); and many nieces and nephews: Alyssa, Parker, Brody, Aiden, Jacey and Liam. Crystal is preceded in death by her mother Alice Porter and her brother -in-law Todd Benear.

James Henry Sturgill

James Henry Sturgill born in Water Town New York, parents were Paul and Mildred Sturgill, James was one of five children, one older brother, two older sisters and one younger brother. James is survived by sister Cynthia Sturgill and brother John Thomas Sturgill. James past away April 22,2023 do to health complications, James was a loving brother and a kind uncle, James was loved by family and friends, he will greatly missed.

Jeanne M. Shackleford

Jeanne Shackleford was born Angelina Minnie Montalbano on July 15, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA. Her parents were Rose Marie Summo (maiden name) and Joseph Montalbano married in September 1927 in Los Angeles. She was raised in the Los Angeles area and attended grammar school thru high school (John C. Fremont High School) in Los Angeles. She was very close to both her Mom and Dad and remained close until their deaths in 1972 and 1987. She was an accomplished accordionist and taught the accordion for several years. She was a wonderful cook of many types of ethnic foods especially Italian dishes. One of her favorite desserts to make was Pineapple Upside Down cake. She married Jack B. Allen in June of 1948 and had two sons Jay (Denise) and Jack (Melanie) in 1949 and 1951. She later re-married Herbert F. Shackleford on December 18, 1953 and was married until his (Dad's) death in July 2011, almost 58 years later. They had a wonderful life from 1953-2011 living in Downey, CA and then moving to the Lake of the Ozarks, MO in late 1972. The adventure of their lives really started after 1972 with the development of Duckhead Townhomes from 1973-1982. They owned, developed and managed this beautiful lakefront resort for many years while still enjoying the winters along the gulf coast of FL thru 1998. For several years their son Jack and his family including granddaughters Jennifer, Jessica and Joanne lived at Duckhead Townhomes from 1975 thru 1981. Mom and Dad truly enjoyed those years with their grandchildren. They had another grandchild, Tony who lived in CA as well. She later had other grandchildren including Derek, Emma, Bradley and Rosie. In addition, she had five great grandchildren Adam, Jami, Matteo, Luca and Marlow. Once Mom and Dad sold their resort in the mid-1990's, they continued to live at the Lake of the Ozarks as well as in the Naples, FL area during the winter months. They loved boating, sunning, fishing and travel for many years. They had a myriad of friends in MO, CA and FL from 1973-2005 and beyond. They moved to Surprise, AZ in 2005 for their retirement years but still traveled to Mexico, Hawaii, Caribbean, for many trips including Mom's last trip in 2015 to Italy, the land of her parents. Mom and Dad were truly inseparable for 58 years and loved one another until Dad's passing in 2011. They were both very much loved by sons Jay and Jack and their families. Mom loved to talk on the phone daily with family and her many friends. She was still driving her car two months prior to her passing on April 24, 2023. She had many friends in her community in Sun Village in Surprise, AZ who she saw or spoke with daily. She would go to lunch or Karaoke night with these friends until a few months ago. Mom maintained the many friends and relatives she knew outside of AZ as well. Mom was a religious person who prayed often as she never ventured far from her Roman Catholic roots. She is now with her Mom and Dad, her Husband Herb (Dad), the many aunts, uncles and scores of cousins who preceded her. She loved to laugh and have fun and was loved by all who knew her well. She will be greatly missed by all as she called many people a day just to chat or say I love you. She was an excellent writer of letters, diaries and very aware of current events. She was a good judge of character and very observant. We miss you Mom and we'll love you always.

Lottie Lois Hofstetter

Lottie Lois Hofstetter, born April 17th, 1930 to William and Annie Mae McClendon in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, has passed away on May 7, 2023. Survived by her stepdaughter Linda (Gordon), daughter Susan (Martin), and son Steven (Val), her 7 grandchildren, Daniel (Mario), Kenneth, Ryan (Anna), Regan (Bri), Kiaya, Victoria and Michael. And 6 great grandchildren Kaleb, Autumn, Timmy, Rayna, Nova and Lucy. Lottie married Roland Hofstetter on June 18, 1993 who predeceased her September 12, 2010.

Marilyn Joan Greenberg

Marilyn Joan Greenberg, age 90, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones, after a brief illness. Born on May 11, 1932 and raised in Toledo, OH by her parents James (1906 - 1988) and Marjorie Freeman (1911 - 2000) and also preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Freeman (1930 - 2021), she was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School in Ottawa Hills, Ohio. Her first job was in a dental office in Toledo, Ohio and then Activities Director at Sunset House Retirement Home in Ottawa Hills for 10 years where her Father, James, worked as long-time Administrator. Marilyn moved to sunny Scottsdale, Arizona in 1984 along with her family. She worked in the front office of the dental practice of Dr. David Boca from 1984 - 2011, followed by McAdams Dental, retiring in 2012. Over the years, Marilyn most enjoyed and was often found cheering on her children and grandchildren at events, including motocross races, golf tournaments, bodybuilding competitions, basketball games, horse shows and music/band concerts and competitions among many other activities. She was also Grandma/Grammy to many dogs over the years whom she loved as much as they loved her. Her passion in life was her family and she is survived by and was a devoted Mother to her three sons, Jeff (Kathy), Scott (Keli) and David (Dawn), Grandmother to three grandchildren, Erin Mock (Matthew), Kyle Greenberg and Lauren Greenberg and Great Grandmother to one great granddaughter, Blair Greenberg. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

Patricia "Tricia" Ann Ross

Patricia "Tricia" Ann Ross, 46, passed away unexpectedly April 11, 2023. She was born March 12, 1977 in Phoenix Arizona to William and Margaret Ross. Tricia graduated from Peoria High School and attended Arizona State University where she majored in education. While Tricia was gifted with a beautiful voice, loved dance and the arts, her true passion was teaching the most vulnerable in our world. She cared deeply for each of her students and their families, and felt honored to be their advocate. Tricia's genuine adoration for children carried over to her nephews and nieces as well, having carved out a special connection with each of them. True to Tricia's creative spirit, she saw beauty in nature, animals and the world around her. She had a heart for service, an epic sense of humor, loved big, and brought light into any room she entered. Her very presence will be sorely missed until we see her again. Tricia was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. She is survived by her fiancé William "Joey" Butler; mother Margaret; siblings Hazel Padilla (Joe), Patrick (Nayree), Mike (Kristen), B.J. (Theia), Robin McAdams (Patrick), Dennis, and David (Lisa); nephews and nieces; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Timothy John Winschel

Timothy John Winschel (Tim), born September 9th, 1954. 68, peacefully flew to heaven April 28th, 2023. He moved from Erie, Pennsylvania in 1963 to Phoenix, Arizona as a little boy with his parents and brothers. Son of; Francis & MaryJane Winschel. Brother of; Jim Winschel, Don Winschel & Gary Winschel. He met his wife Deborah Winschel at 14 years old. They married in 1979 and had 3 children; Jennifer Winschel, Ryan Winschel and Kendra Winschel. Tim also had many grandkids; Skylar Noorlag, Layla Farias, Mason Larrabee, Liam Larrabee, Noah Larrabee, Elijah Larrabee, Prince Hernandez, and Julian Hernandez. He attended Ocotillo Elementary School and graduated from Washington High School in 1972. Before retiring, he enjoyed long and successful careers with Honeywell & Maricopa County Sheriff's office. After retiring, Tim continued work through Amazon Warehouse. Tim was a family man who loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with his family & his beloved dog; Shorty. Tim had a passion for working on cars & enjoyed being outdoors camping with family. Tim is well known for his hard work, sense of humor, work ethic & strength. His love for music provided the background for his life. Tim's wife was waiting for him at the pearly white gates with her arms wide open where they are now dancing in heaven & will never be apart. They will now spend eternity together.

Tony Medina

Tony Medina, age 79, of Peoria, AZ passed away on May 5, 2023. He was currently living in a Memory Center, under the care of Ability Hospice. Tony was an Eagle Scout and was always prepared for all scenarios. He served in the Air Force. After the service, he returned to Morenci, where he became a Machinist for life. Tony was very involved with the Union. After the strike he moved to the Valley with his wife of 43 years. Tony enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an exceptional fisherman, who always had a story to tell about his adventures. All who know him will miss his storytelling. Tony is survived by his wife Lena of 43 years, 3 children, Stephanie, Jason and Marlo, 2 stepchildren, Johnny and Carol. He has 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Tony enjoyed his retirement and lived every day to the fullest. He loved being the life of the party. He will be greatly missed.
