I am Training and Onboarding Lead/Care Coordinator with Bluebird Care since 2014. My passions outside of delivering a quality service within Bluebird Care include going to GAA matches, spending time with family and friends and walking out in the lovely countryside!
Brian established the franchise in 2010 and lives locally in Kilkenny.
Brian is passionate about Bluebird Care delivering the highest quality of services for our clients and ensuring our staff receive strong support so they can perform their duties in the best possible way. From Day one when Brian set up the business he strived to do everything the right way.
As Brian says himself, its an ongoing learning process but its hugely important that we in Bluebird Care set out to provide a high quality service and try to make a real positive difference for our clients.
Brian is married with two children and outside Bluebird Care he likes to spend time with family and he enjoys watching all sports as well as playing Golf and trying to still play football !l

Cara joins us as part of the administration team looking after scheduling and administration for Health Care Assistants.
Cara has a BSc in Health & Physical Activity and a certificate in medical administration with prior experience working as an administrator. Cara has an interest in the health and wellbeing of others and intends to bring her varied experience to the team
Carolyn started working with Bluebird Care in October 2008 and has worked in every position within the company throughout its rapid growth. Carolyn currently manages a large team of staff in Galway and she is fully committed to delivering an excellent service to all our customers.
Catherine Henevry is a Registered Nurse from kilkenny and is part of our Clinical Supervision Team.

Christina is a qualified General Nurse, graduating in 2015, firstly starting work in the North East
Danielle is the newest member to join the Bluebird care team, working as a recruitment consultant in both Meath and Dublin West offices. She recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business and prior to that worked in Hospitality for almost 12 years. During Danielle's time in University she gained a love for HR and decided she wanted to pursue a career in that field, she felt recruitment was a perfect fit for her! Danielle currently recruits all of our new carers and supports them until they are ready to begin their journey as a carer with Bluebird care.

Gavin previously worked in the financial services industry for many years where he gained experience in operations, maintaining client relationships and managing staff. Building and maintaining client relationships was a key role for Gavin in his previous roles and continues to be as Director of Bluebird Care Meath& Dublin West, as well as ensuring that Bluebird Care provide a professional service to a high standard.

J.J. spent many years in the financial services industry both with large multinational corporations and domestic investment managers. He gained substantial experience in Operations, Training & Development and latterly Product Analysis, J.J. played a key role at many levels of each organization. With a specific emphasis throughout his career on New Product Development, Training and development of staff and Client Relationship Management, J.J. applies all of his experience to ensuring an excellent customer experience and an unparalleled level of professionalism in the Meath & Dublin West areas.
Jason has worked with Bluebird Care Limerick for 2 years. He works as a Rehabilitation Instructor and is also in charge of disability-specific cases, staff training, education and development, online learning platforms, and media/marketing.

Jean has worked for Bluebird Care Limerick for 6 years as a registered nurse. Her role includes completing assessments, creating care plans for new and current clients and reviewing care plans to keep them up to date. She also works with public health and dressing clinic, and does house calls and interviews.
Before joining Bluebird Care Jean worked at the High Dependency ward at the University Hospital of Limerick, and has a Bachelors in Nursing.
I love working at Bluebird Care Limerick, my role here is a Registered General Nurse. It is a job that I am passionate about and it's a position that continually challenges.

Kasia is a Care Coordinator with Bluebird Care for the past 3 years, she started her Bluebird Care career as a Healthcare Assistant providing home care for our customers keeping them safe and well in their own homes.
Kasia is a shining example of a person who started her Bluebird Care journey as a Healthcare Assistant and then took advantage of an internal promotion opportunity and is now part of the management team.
Bluebird Care is a great company to work with no matter what your role involves and I have made many good friends over the years since joining the company
Katherine is our Clinical Lead, her role involves Assessing, Reviewing and Care planning for our customers. Katherine's focus is to ensure the needs of our customers are met professionally on a daily basis and for providing Clinical Leadership to all the management team and staff at Bluebird Care Galway. Also, part of her role is the Training and Supervision of Health Care Assistants who deliver our Care Services on a daily basis and she continuously reviews the quality of this service to ensure our Customers get the help and support they need.
Following her training Katherine became a Registered Nurse in 1995. She obtained a B.Sc. in Community Nursing in 2004. Katherine says, "In my career to date I have gained a wide range of knowledge and experience from Acute Services to different aspects of Community Services, which has ranged from long term care to home care nursing in addition I have completed QQI awards in Management and Moving & Handling instruction".
Furthermore, Katherine states "It is a privilege to be invited into our customers' homes, especially when they are at their most vulnerable. It is important to me that our customers know that they are very much a key part of our community, and that they are valued. To know on a day-to-day basis the work we do and the care we provide makes a such difference to our customers lives".
Kay Leahy - Managing Director
Kay is managing director and an experienced business owner with an impressive track record in business development. Kay is passionate about delivering a quality service, which drives her in leading a motivated team of staff.
"I have a finance background and spent my early adult years with a large Multi-National Company. My role was highly responsible and I gained valuable experience in Management and Administration. In search of a new challenge and to give something back I opened Bluebird Care Clare in 2011.
My office has a family feel to it and I like to spend time there to ensure everything runs smoothly for the fantastic team and the Hero's who support our customers. I love the satisfaction that comes with knowing that we make a real difference to people's lives each and every day. I am delighted to have the opportunity to provide the highest standard of care, promoting dignity, choice and independence.
An Occupational Health professional qualifying in 1999 from NUI Galway, Kieran has worked in this field both in Ireland and overseas for the past 25 years.

Laura has worked wih Bluebird Care Limerick for 6 months. Her role as a Social Care/Disability Supervisor includes the assessment of new customers, reviewing of care plans and quarterly client reviews, interviewing of new staff members, and ensuring all customer needs are met to provide a satisfactory service.

Lorenza is an Registered Nurse from Italy and part of our Clinical Supervision Team and has been with Bluebird Care since 2018.
Lorraine, who has a QQI Level 6 in Healthcare, has 10 years' experience in providing care and support in a wide variety of settings. In her role of Senior Care Worker Lorraine has close contact with our clients to ensure that we deliver quality care and that our carers receive guidance and support.
Louise has been with Bluebird Care Limerick for 9 years, and is in charge of payroll, invoicing, and collating HSE reports. Before Bluebird Care, Louise worked for a multinational company as a supply analyst for 17 years.
Her qualifications include ECDL, business administration, and business computing.
Magdalena joined our team as a Health Care Assistant in November 2019. Her determination to provide quality support to our customers and inherent leadership ability led to her becoming Practice Supervisor within the Bluebird Care Clare Team.
Magdalena has 4 years experience in the healthcare sector and plays a key role in managing and supporting the health care team. Magdalena provides guidance, training and mentorship to all staff within the care environment. She supports the supervision process by carrying out supervisions and maintaining supervision records. Magdalena provides hands on support working with carers to ensure they are competent and confident in the service they are providing.
As the saying goes " Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life" - I love my job. Getting to know our customers and all the staff; to support them the best way I can. I love the feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day, I know that I have not changed the world today but I may have made a difference in someone's life.

Maria joined the Bluebird Care Team in 2011. Maria trained as an SEN in the UK and is also qualified in Swedish massage, Indian head Massage and Reiki. Maria is also the manual handling instructor for the care team in the northeast.
In her role as care supervisor Maria focuses on supporting and supervising staff while they provide care or support services to our customers, while ensuring care plans are reviewed and updated as required, and that standards are constantly maintained by the care workers and personal assistants.
I hope that in the work we do that I can help to make a difference in our customers lives for the better.
Marta has been with Bluebird Care Limerick for 2 years. In her role as a Care Team Supervisor, she oversees heathcare assistants, carries out supervision, check-ins, shadowing, and reviews. She also maintains the staff files and offers continuous support to healthcare assistants in their roles.
Before joining Bluebird Care Limerick, Marta worked in Frankfurt, Germany as a healthcare assistant, and in Poland as an administrator with the Polish police.
Marta holds Bachelors in Financial and International Trade, completed her QQI Major Award in Healthcare Support, and is currently working towards her QQI Level 6 in Healthcare Supervisory Management.
Following the completion of a QQI business course, Martina was employed with a large construction company in an office manager/PA role for 6 years. During her time with the company she undertook a ACCA certified accounting technician course. Martina continued on to have 4 years' experience working in an administration role in a busy Insurance brokers where she undertook the required insurance exams with in the Insurance Institute of Ireland.
From her experience in the front office of both companies, meeting with the general public daily, raised her interest in working with people as did caring in the home for a family member.
Martina's first introduction to Bluebird Care was witnessing first hand the important work healthcare assistants carry out in community when her own family member started receiving home help. Seeing how these healthcare assistants enriched her grandmothers final years made Martina think this was a career path she wanted to pursue. Following a successful interview, Martina started her career with Bluebird care Galway in September 2012 as a Healthcare assistant and is now Office Manager. Martina states

Marty with a Nursing & Occupational Health Professional background has been involved in the delivery of high-quality care for 30 years.
Mary joined the Bluebird Care Clare team in January 2023 as Clinical Nurse Manager. Mary qualified with a B.Sc Honours Degree in Nursing (Intellectual Disability) in 2018. Prior to nursing Mary worked as carer in the community for 8 years. Mary chose a career in nursing as she really enjoyed working with vulnerable people and supporting them daily to live independently in their own homes.
Mary is the clinical lead at Bluebird Care Clare providing leadership and management to all staff ensuring that we deliver high quality safe care in the home and community for all our customers. Mary is responsible for the management and implementation of the quality care delivery and compliance. She carries out customer assessments and engages directly with customers and their family members daily.
Mary is an advocate for all Bluebird Care Clare clients in the community, many with complex needs. She works diligently to identify and source any additional supports and or facilities they may need. Marys ability to connect and relate to the clients helps build a therapeutic relationship with them and create trust in that we will deliver the best possible service in the comfort of their own home. Mary works closely with the team to ensure there is a network of support for all our clients within the community. She promotes mental health and well-being daily through highlighting the importance of companionship and ensuring the carers place emphasis in this in their caring role.

After nearly 20 years working in Regulatory Reporting Niamh joined Bluebird Care in 2021 and now leads the Finance Team. Enjoys being part of a hard-working community of office staff, carers and nurses.
Nicki Roche is the Care Manager for Bluebird Care Galway, she says about her job "I have personal experience from a young age of seeing how important support is to an individual & a family. This had a huge impact on my life & since then I have always felt compelled to help & support other people.
I qualified in 2011 with an Honour Degree in Social Care Practice from Athlone Institute of Technology.
I had worked with young persons in Residential Care & with Students in the Access & Disability services. I joined Bluebird Care in 2017 as a Social Care Practitioner as I wanted to work with people in the community.
Nicola originally joined Bluebird Care Meath in 2016 as a Healthcare Assistant, whilst thoroughly enjoying her role. Nicola departed Bluebird Care in 2019 to explore work as a Social Care worker. After 3.5 years Nicola knew that Bluebird Care was where her heart was. She returned to Bluebird Care Meath in January 2023 and joined the Clinical Team within the role of Care Supervisor.
Nicola has a passion for caring for people and providing vital support to make a difference in people's lives. As part of her role she will meet new customers and their families to assess their needs and to develop bespoke care plans. Nicola will also support the healthcare staff team, providing training and supervision whilst offering guidance and support. Nicola thoroughly enjoys her role and loves being a part of the Bluebird Care team.
Rachel joined Bluebird Care as a Healthcare Assistant in 2011 and has worked with the company while going through different changes in her life and she says, "Bluebird Care were always very facilitating when I needed it which helped me meet both my personal and professional challenges along the way".
Rachel describes herself as a "very colourful carer" as that's the personality she brings to her work every day bringing a smile to both her clients and colleagues alike. Since joining the company Rachel has moved from delivering Homecare to our customers to joining the management team in our Galway city office.
Since joining our team Rachel says "I has found a good work life balance here at Bluebird Care and I love working alongside my great colleagues every day".
Ruth joined the team in December 2018. She has completed her major award in Healthcare Support. Ruth has extensive experience in customer service, working in the hospitality and healthcare sectors and also working with a fundraising company raising money for various charities.
As Care Coordinator, Ruth is responsible for managing rosters and the coordination of carers on a daily basis, allocating carers to customers, dealing with queries and general office administration. Having vast experience in customer service has supported her role in developing an excellent rapport with our customers and staff.
Ruth is an excellent communicator and liaises daily with customers and staff both in the office and in the community. Ruth works closely with the administration and management team to ensure high quality service provision throughout Clare.

Sheamie Cummins our Care Coordinator is from Kilkenny. My interests would mainly be my love of sports and fitness from watching golf , rugby on tv to going to live soccer and GAA matches to coaching hurling/ camogie teams to going on walks and hikes.
Shirley has many years' experience in the retail industry focused in customer services and also as a Retail Manager. Shirley reformed her career after volunteering with a community - based charity and she brings to us many years scheduling and planning experience in homecare.
Shirley will be working closely with our Care Supervisors and Senior Management team to provide quality of care to our wonderful customers. She will continuously be engaging with staff to deliver excellence in care to the highest possible standard.

Theresa joined the Bluebird Care Clare team in November 2016 as Care Co-Ordinator and has since progressed to the role of Office Manager.
Theresa has an honours degree in Early Childhood Care and Education and over 10 years' experience in hospitality, administration and customer care. Since joining Bluebird Care Clare she has achieved additional certification in Healthcare, Supervisory Management and Conflict Management.
Theresa manages the day to day running of the office; supporting staff, communicating with customers & their families and ensuring any queries or issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Tina Onyszko brings to her role as Care Manager with Bluebird Care Northeast 30 years Health Care experience in both clinical and strategic roles as a registered nurse
I am passionate about customers receiving the highest standard of care we can provide and Bluebird Care's standards fit with my own. It is great to be part of a team where you can see your efforts making a difference.
Valerie has been with Bluebird Care Limerick for 3 years. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, she's in charge of making care plans and assessing new clients, as well as areas of specialist care such as bowl evac, seizure management, and prescriptions and training other care workers in these areas. She's also the key person to deal with any client-related queries from the staff.
Valerie has a wealth of experience from the healthcare field having previously worked in General Medical and Surgical Nursing roles in acute settings at ward level, as well as in General Nursing in elderly care in a residential setting. On top of her registered nurse qualification, she holds a FETAC Level 6 Special Needs Training Skills qualification, Component Certificate in Training Delivery and Evaluation, and a Train the Trainer Management of Neurogenic Bowel Dysfunction qualification.
