Over the past several years we have watched as demand for many varieties/cultivars has diminished. We considered significantly reducing our offerings prior to our last 2-year catalog and decided against it. Our 'Stock and Trade' has always been to speculate on production for the upcoming year and to provide a very broad selection to our customers. Even though we have had to reduce our offerings for this catalog, we still offer over 1,450 items ranging from perennials, grasses, wildflowers, herbs, clematis, succulents and temperennials. As always, we are happy to 'custom grow' other varieties as long as we have a propagation source and enough time to produce your material... Bluebird began in 1958 as the outgrowth of a hobby of Harlan Hamernik and his wife Shirley, who grew up in the Clarkson area.
