Alex is a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team and works with clients to ensure that they obtain accurate and timely advice. He prides himself on being able to provide an unbiased view of the merits of a case and guide clients through the complexities of the legal system. Alex is known by his clients for his ability to try to achieve good results without having to commence or litigate matters in Court by way of negotiation. However, Alex appears at the Magistrate Court and Supreme Court of Tasmania on occasion to advocate on his client's matters if required.
Will Disputes - Alex has acted for Executors and Plaintiffs on actions challenging the validity of Wills in relation to the deceased's capacity to make a Will, and other capacity issues;
Alex is a member of the Law Society of Tasmania's Litigation Committee.
Outside work, Alex enjoys spending time with his family, and loves sport. Alex is a keen soccer and tennis player.

Alison joined Butler McIntyre & Butler in 2007 after commencing her legal career in the litigation division of a large commercial law firm in Sydney. Alison became a Partner at Butler McIntyre & Butler in 2016.
Alison is a member of the Law Council of the Law Society of Tasmania and the Law Society's Employment, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Amanda joined Butler McIntyre & Butler in 1986 and was the indispensable personal assistant to Property and Commercial and Estate and Probate Partner, Gary Grant (now retired) for 31 years.
Amanda is an integral part of the Wills & Probate team at Butler McIntyre & Butler. Since 2017, Amanda has been applying her valuable knowledge and experience as the estates and probate clerk.
Amanda is committed to giving her clients all the assistance and advice they need to progress through a sometimes difficult time.
Having grown up on a Tasmanian farm, Amanda is a country girl at heart. She was educated in Hobart, and now lives here with her husband and two children. Amanda is interested in gardening, cooking, travelling and sewing.

Anna served as a Board member of the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation and during her tenure held the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair. Damien is an integral member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, practising in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, personal injury and also providing support and expertise to the criminal law team. In addition to appearing in the Supreme Court, Federal Court and Magistrates Court, Damien regularly appears before a variety of tribunals and boards.

Daniel is past Deputy Chairman of the Parole Board of Tasmania, past president of the Law Society of Tasmania. He is also a former member of the Attorney-General's Civil Disbursement Fund, the Council of the Law Society of Tasmania, the Law Society Continuing Professional Development Committee and a former Legal Aid Commissioner.
Daniel is a current member of the Andrew Inglis Clark Law Library Management Committee.
In his spare time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid bike rider and enjoys the challenge of taking extended rides around Hobart.

Dianne joined Butler McIntyre & Butler in 2006.
Dianne has over twenty years' experience in the legal industry, having worked in a Huon Valley legal firm as the Office Manager before joining Butler McIntyre & Butler as the Practice Manager.
In her role, Dianne ensures the effective and efficient operation of the practice and the Mortgage Fund's accounting functions, IT infrastructure and Human Resources.
In her spare time, Dianne enjoys cooking, walking and spending time with family. She is also an avid lawn bowls competitor.

Laura has extensive experience in managing all types of conveyancing transactions. She guides her clients through the conveyancing process with helpful advice to ensure that their purchase or sale proceeds as smoothly as possible.
