Alison A. Cox is an attorney in the Martinsburg, West Virginia, office of Bowles Rice. As a member of the firm's Tax Team, her practice focuses on assisting individuals and business owners with matters related to estate planning and administration, wills, trusts and elder law.
She previously served as the staff attorney for West Virginia Senior Legal Aid, Inc., advocating for the rights of West Virginia's senior population including advising on issues regarding Medicaid, estate planning, wills, powers of attorney, property rights, consumer affairs and guardianship. In this role, she also conducted seminars statewide addressing legal issues relevant to seniors.
Alison earned her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, and a bachelor of fine arts degree from Radford University.
Amy Tawney focuses her practice on banking law, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and regulatory matters. She is admitted to practice in West Virginia and Virginia.
Andrew Stonestreet is a seasoned litigator with significant experience in healthcare litigation, including medical malpractice claims and professional licensing disputes; business and commercial litigation; condemnation and property disputes; and insurance litigation. Licensed in West Virginia and Kentucky, Andrew practices from the firm's Charleston and Morgantown, West Virginia offices.
A substantial portion of Andrew's practice is focused on defending physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers in medical malpractice actions and professional licensing disputes. He routinely represents cardiologists, surgeons, urologists, obstetricians, radiologists, and hospitalists in every facet of the litigation process, including taking and defending key depositions, presenting oral argument, and representing his clients at trial. He takes pride in obtaining a deep understanding of the medical nuances and economic implications of each case. Andrew's clients appreciate his calming, yet assertive approach and his appreciation for the disruption that a malpractice suit or professional licensing board complaint can introduce into a physician's practice.
Andrew also frequently serves the firm's business and energy clients in commercial disputes involving a breach of contract, condemnation, disputes with vendors, and other complex commercial issues. Understanding the effect litigation can have on a business, Andrew advises clients on strategies to minimize exposure, attain favorable outcomes, and achieve other alternative dispute resolutions to avoid unnecessary litigation. However, when litigation is necessary, Andrew has the experience needed to protect his client's interests throughout the process. With more than a decade of litigation experience, including numerous tried-to-verdict jury trials, Andrew is well positioned to represent his clients in high-risk matters.
Andrew graduated Order of the Coif from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he served as an editor of the West Virginia Law Review for volumes 113 and 114.

Brock Malcolm is the leader of the Bowles Rice Health Care Law team. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Chief Operations Officer, In-house Legal Counsel, and Privacy Officer for Community Care of West Virginia, Inc. (CCWV), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with operations in eight West Virginia counties.
With experience unique to rural and community care, Brock brings a deep understanding of regional health issues to the team. He served on the Medical Subcommittee of the U.S. Attorney's Addiction Action Plan task force in connection with his role as a member of CCWV's Pain Management Committee. As former Chair for the Partners In Health Network board of directors, he worked with member organizations to affect a more rational approach to health care delivery and access to essential health services in West Virginia's rural communities.
Since coming to Bowles Rice, Brock has expanded the firm's health care practice to include serving as general counsel for hospitals, FQHCs and FQHC Look-Alikes, Behavioral Health Centers, substance use treatment facilities, pharmacies, medical laboratories, dental practices, small independent medical practices, and health insurance companies/Medicaid MCOs.
His primary areas of focus include labor and employment law; health care compliance (including Stark and anti-kickback statute matters); grant writing and grants management; HIPAA and medical record privacy and security matters (including training and investigation, mitigation, and reporting of breaches); and certificate of need (CON) litigation. In addition to his representation of health care provider organizations, Brock represents numerous non-profit entities, including professional associations, human services organizations, and philanthropic foundations.
Brock is the primary author of the firm's West Virginia Health Care Law blog. He is the immediate past president and current vice president of Healthy Harrison, a coalition of local health care and business leaders who work together with a common goal of measurably improving the health and wellness of the citizens of Harrison County, West Virginia. He also is the immediate past president of the board of directors for the West Virginia Rural Health Association. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the Center for Rural Health Development, Inc., the United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties (where he is the current board president), and Philanthropy West Virginia (where is the current board secretary).

Charles Dollison has practiced for more than 20 years primarily in the areas of coal, oil and gas law, commercial real estate, land development, and electric power and gas power project development.
Charles joined Bowles Rice in 1990. He later served as vice president and general counsel for coal company INR Energy, LLC prior to its sale to Cliffs Natural Resources, Inc., and vice president and general counsel to Natural Resources International, LLC. He returned to the Bowles Rice partnership in January 2012.

Charles F. "Chazz" Printz, Jr. focuses his practice on civil litigation. During his 35-plus year career, he has tried more than 80 jury trials to verdict and argued more than 40 appeals before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the Fourth Circuit, United States Court of Appeals.
His practice includes all aspects of civil litigation, including employment law, Title IX investigation and litigation, business litigation, commercial disputes, financial services, employer liability, condemnation and wrongful death/personal injury.
Chazz served as president of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia from 2014 to 2015, and currently serves on the association's Employment Law and Business Law Committees. He was a member of the Board of Governors from 2005 to 2016. In 2015, he was awarded the Defense Trial Counsel's Exceptional Performance Citation.
Chazz is a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference, and serves on the Law and Medicine Committee of the West Virginia State Bar. He also is a member of the Defense Research Institute and its Commercial Litigation Committee, as well as the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
Charlie has served as president of both the West Virginia State Bar and The West Virginia Bar Association, is a fellow of the American Bar Association, a fellow of the West Virginia State Bar and is a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference.
