Deborah K Neitsch

Deborah Neitsch, MD, is a native Texan. She grew up in east central Texas and attended undergraduate school at Texas A&M University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1994 with a BS in Biomedical Science. From there, Dr. Neitsch attended Texas Tech HSC School of Medicine, receiving her MD in 1999. She completed her residency in 2002 at Good Samaritan Family Medicine Residency in Phoenix Arizona. She served as Chief Resident as well as a resident liaison to the American Academy of Family Practice. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Neitsch has been practicing in the Austin Area since 2002 and joined Brushy Creek in November 2010. She is on staff at Round Rock Medical Center and is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine here in Round Rock. She and her husband, Chad, have two young kids, two labs and a sweet cat. They enjoy jet skiing together, cooking, gardening and watching Aggie sports. Dr. Christopher Lewis

Christopher Lewis, MD, is board certified in family medicine and has been practicing in Round Rock since 2006. He graduated with honors from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, received his medical doctorate at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and then completed his residency in family medicine in Waco, TX. Dr. Lewis enjoys taking care of the entire family from infants to the elderly and thrives on treating chronic medical conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. He is accepting new patients. Dr. Joel Goode

Joel Goode, MD, is a native Texan. He attended undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1990 with a BBA in Biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston in 1994. He went on to complete his residency in family medicine at Southwest Memorial Family Practice Program in Houston and served as Chief Resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Goode moved to Round Rock in 1997 and is a founding member of Brushy Creek Family Physicians. He is active on Round Rock Medical Center committees and served as Chief of Medicine in 2000. He is the site coordinator for family medicine in Williamson County and Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M medical school. He and his wife, Mary, have two children and they attend First United Methodist church in Round Rock. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, attending UT sports, playing soccer, basketball and golf, and coaching youth sports. Laura Kromann

Laura Kromann, MD, brings passion, experience and a love for her community to her practice. As a skilled family physician, she offers a wide range of expertise in caring for you and your family. Her special areas of interest include helping her patients manage chronic disease, providing urgent care, pediatric and adolescent health, women's health care, sports medicine and a variety of clinical procedures. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Kromann graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biology from Georgetown's Southwestern University. After earning her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, she completed the Santa Rosa Family Residency Program - Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa, California. In 2018, she returned to Williamson County and joined Brushy Creek Family Physicians. During her medical training, she received many honors, including the Outstanding Student in Family Medicine Clerkship, Gold Humanism Honor Society and was awarded a scholarship from the Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Kromann has a heart for helping others. She has participated in numerous medical mission and relief trips where she provided care in Peru, Haiti and Mexico. Recently, she supported Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Houston as a physician volunteer through Jordan International Aid. She is also trained to provide medical and psychological evaluation of survivors of torture who are seeking asylum. Nicole Howerton

Nicole Howerton, DO, is pleased to be a part of Brushy Creek Family Physicians and is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to each of her patients. Dr. Howerton received her bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her master's in medical sciences from University of North Texas Health Science Center. She earned her medical degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth and completed her residency training in internal medicine-pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans. She is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Howerton was awarded Resident of the Year during her medical training and enjoys volunteering in her community. She regularly provided care to the homeless and assisted at the Ronald McDonald House. In her free time she loves spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors and traveling.

Richard T Strawser

Richard Strawser, MD, PhD, graduated from Southwest Texas State University. He received his M.S., Ph.D., and M.D. degrees from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his residency training in family practice at Silas B. Hays Army Community Hospital at Ft. Ord, Calif. He was then stationed at Reynolds Army Community Hospital at Ft. Sill, Ok. He did tours of duty in Panama, Argentina and was Chief of Medicine for the 47th Field Hospital in the Middle East in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Dr. Strawser has been in practice in the Round Rock area since 1992 and is one of the founding members of Brushy Creek Family Physicians. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians. He enjoys all aspects of family medicine and served the Texas Academy of Family Physicians as a member of the Bylaws Committee and Commission on Academic Affairs in 2006-2007. Stephanie A Sypniewski

Stephanie Sypniewski, MD, grew up in Plano, Texas and majored in Anthropology at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She then attended Texas Tech School of Medicine and received her medical degree in 2004 after her clinical rotations in El Paso. Dr. Sypniewski completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, where she served as Chief Resident of the Med/Peds program and received the Gold Humanism Award for outstanding patient care. Dr. Sypniewski is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics.
