Brenda Ibara

Brenda begun assisting Brian O'Neill Sr. in 2001. Originally from Nicaragua, she is fluent in both English and Spanish and has first hand knowledge of the complexities of immigration having gone through the process with her family. As a Naturalized Citizen of the United States, Brenda is experienced and well acquainted with numerous areas of Immigration Law and has become an integral and valuable member of the O'Neill team.

Brian T. O'Neill, Sr.

Brian T. O'Neill Sr. exclusively practices Immigration Law in Boston at the four lawyer firm which bears his name. Mr. O'Neill Sr. regularly publishes and lectures on Immigration Law at local and national conferences and universities. He is often called upon as an expert witness for trials involving immigration matters and serves as a Liaison for The Local Association of Immigration Lawyers before the US Customs and Border Protection Agency. Mr. O'Neill also advises on inquiries from Immigration Attorneys on issues relating to applicants for admission to the US and associated matters which arise from admissibility and removal proceedings initiated by Border Inspectors. Mr. O'Neill Sr. is a graduate of Boston College and Suffolk University Law School. He has been practicing law since 1971, specializing in Immigration Law since 1975. He represents both corporate and individual clients before the U.S. Immigration Service at the various USCIS Service Centers across the country and at the local district offices in Boston, Hartford, Providence, Portland, New York, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Miami, Tampa and Indianapolis. His work in these offices has included legal services for various employment-related Nonimmigrant, Permanent Residence Immigrant Visa (i.e. Green Cards), and Citizenship and Naturalization benefits. Mr. O'Neill Sr. also conducts an extensive practice before the Executive Office of Immigration Review, handling litigation issues that relate to clients who have been deemed inadmissible or deportable by the US Immigration Service. Included in this area of litigation before the Immigration Service are hearings before the Immigration Court and appeals from this court to the Board of Immigration Appeals in Washington, D.C. In addition, Mr. O'Neill Sr. has testified as an expert witness on US Immigration Laws before the Superior Court and the Probate Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He advises many members of the private bar on the consequences of criminal convictions before both the State and Federal Courts. He also gives lectures to practicing attorneys before the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) and the New England Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He is the local AILA Liaison Council for attorneys to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at Boston's Logan International Airport and handles questions from attorneys on the issues of entry and expedited removal proceedings that are commenced by the Immigration Inspectors at Logan. Mr. O'Neill Sr. is an active member of AILA, the New England Chapter of AILA, and serves as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Doug O'Neill

Doug O'Neill is a graduate of Stonehill College and the Massachusetts School of Law, obtaining his J.D. in 2005. Since joining the firm in 1998, Doug has become an expert in Business and Employment Immigration Law for Non-Immigrant and Immigrant Visas. He is also accomplished and versed in Labor Law related to Employer Sanctions, I-9 Compliance, and Worksite Enforcement by USDOL Wage and Hour Division.

Karen Benton

Mr. O'Neill Jr.

Since 1992 Brian T. O'Neill Jr. has been dedicated to navigating the complexities of Immigration Law for individuals and businesses. Mr. O'Neill Jr. draws from his years of experience and specialized knowledge in the field of Immigration Law of which he was initially exposed to with his father's practice. Like his father, Mr. O'Neill Jr. is a graduate of Boston College and Suffolk University Law School. He represents both corporate and individual clients before the US Immigration Service at the various USCIS Service Centers across the country and at the local District Offices throughout New England. Brian also practices before the Executive Office of Immigration Review handling litigation issues that relate to clients who have been deemed inadmissible or subject to deportation by the US Immigration Service. Mr. O'Neill Jr. began his legal career working with the Anti-Trust Division for the Office of the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He served in the administrations of James Shannon and Scott Harsbarger before moving to the Massachusetts Appeals Court where he was a clerk for The Honorable Judge, Charlotte Perretta. Mr. O'Neill Jr. is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the New England Chapter of AILA. He is a former Congressional Liaison to National and Local congressional offices, and currently serves as a Private Attorney Bar Advocate for the Committee for Public Council Services in Bristol County, Massachusetts. Mr. O'Neill Jr. also serves on various Boston College Fund Raising Committees, as well as various local community boards including the Zoning Board of Appeals.
