Biography
As the New Jersey chapter Executive Director, Angela Kavanaugh recognizes the value of her team and the loyalty of the chapter's members. She leads her team, offering the members quality education and networking opportunities, ensuring that they find the benefits in their membership.
Angela began her journey with CAI-NJ in 2009 and since then has become knowledgeable on all aspects of the chapter and the industry. Her experience comes from working with each of the committees, planning the tradeshow, educational programs, and networking events.
Angela values the relationships that she has made with our members over the years and is looking forward to what the future has in store for her, our members, and the chapter.
Angela earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance at St. Johns University in New York. She enjoys spending time and making new memories with her husband whom she's been married to for over 35 years, two wonderful children and two beautiful granddaughters.

Bob Travis has been a board member of Long Beach Commons Condominium since the Association transitioned from developer control in 2008 and currently serves as the Association's President. In 2019 he joined the CAVL Committee of CAI-NJ and in 2021 he became a CAI-NJ Certified Mediator. He is also active with CAI Keystone Chapter and CAI National. At CAI National he is a member of CAI National Faculty, the CIRMS Group and is a board member of the Foundation of Community Association Research. In March of 2019 he retired from Community Association Underwriters after 41 years in the Commercial Insurance arena and now runs his own Risk Management and Insurance Consulting business.

Biography
Brooke Stoppiello-Nevins has been an integral part of the CAI-NJ team since August, 2017. Although Brooke's primary focus at the beginning was graphic design, over the years she has learned the ins and outs of the community association industry, excelling in all areas of communications.
Brooke is the Liaison to the Editorial Committee, where she is the Editor in Chief for CAI-NJ's monthly magazine, Community TrendsĀ®, which gives members the latest tools to address community association issues. She is also the Co-Liaison to the F.A.S.T. Committee, which focuses on giving back to the community through philanthropic efforts with fun, networking events to engage members.
Brooke received a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from New Jersey City University. Prior to working for CAI-NJ, she worked full-time in advertising and design for many years with several different companies. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. They like making new adventures together, traveling, spending time at the beach, going to the park or zoo and Brooke's favorite, Disney World!

Charles Lavine was a founding member of the Board of Directors for Traditions at Federal Point Condominium Association in 2004. Mr. Lavine has served multiple terms on the board, as well as, serving as both Vice President & President. He was asked to join the first CAVL Committee of CAI-NJ, where he served as Vice Chair & two terms as Chair. He has been active in CAI for ten years and involved in attending various events.
Cheryl Rhine is a Partner/Vice President at USI Insurance Services. She is a certified Insurance Counselor, CIRMS and CAI Educated Business Partner. She has been a specialist in the Community Association field for over 26 years and is active in CAI on both a local and national level. She is currently serving on the CAI National Business Partners Council and has presented sessions at the CAI National Conference as well as, the New Jersey chapter's Conference & Expo. She has written articles for Community Trends, Community Manager, and the New Jersey Cooperator. She has served on a CAI-NJ Committee for most of her career and chaired several CAI-NJ Committees over the years including the Women's Leadership Committee and Conference & Expo Committee. As an educator supporting community associations, Cheryl has instructed the CAI Coffee & Cram CMCA Study Group session on insurance and she provides informative seminars on insurance, risk management and disaster planning. She is a USI U Network team leader, and is excited to be serving on the CAI-NJ Board of Directors.

Christopher Nicosia is proud to be serving in his fourth year as a Board Member of CAI-NJ and first year on the Executive Committee. Prior to joining the Board, Mr. Nicosia was a member and previous Vice Chair of the Managers Committee. Mr. Nicosia is a principal of Prime Management serving as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and has over fifteen years of experience in residential and commercial property management and developer consulting. He has published in Community TrendsĀ® on topics relating to energy efficiency, LED lighting, budgeting, reserves and financial controls. As a trained mediator, he frequently provides ADR mediation services through CAI-NJ. Mr. Nicosia has obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Management as well as multiple industry certifications and designations. He is also a classically trained vocalist and performs regularly, including performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in NYC, the Academy of the Arts in Philadelphia, NJPAC in Newark as well as multiple church and performance venues throughout the tri-state area.

Helen attended La Salle University, where she received her bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in digital arts and multimedia design. She has held various roles in digital marketing and public relations, where she honed her skills in content creation, social media management, email marketing, and brand development. She currently resides in Colts Neck, NJ, and enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her dog.

Biography
Leading the chapters events since 2015, Jaclyn is constantly finding creative and innovative ways to offer top notch networking events, making each member experience memorable. She is responsible for the planning and execution of all the chapters networking events, including the Annual Conference and Expo, Awards Celebration, Conquer and Connect, Golf Outing, Beach Party and Winter Break Party, among all other events. Jaclyn also leads the professional development opportunities the chapter provides as well as the educational programs.

Biography
As the Programs & Events Coordinator, Jocelyn Garlock assists in the development of special events and educational experiences to make member experiences memorable. Jocelyn is looking forward to making connections within the members and assisting in the planning of unforgettable events at CAI-NJ.
Jocelyn attended Rutgers University, where she received her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in political science. She has formerly worked in the Events and Operations of the Rutgers Panhellenic Council, where she coordinated all formal and informal events for 400 prospective members. This gave her experience in creating and executing events to meet specific needs, while also maintaining a network contact list. She currently resides in Freehold, NJ, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Joseph A. Chorba is a Principal at WilkinGuttenplan CPAs and Advisors. Joseph has been with the firm since 2002 and divides his time between working with clients in the real estate industry and closely-held businesses. As a Co-Practice Leader for the Firm's Homeowners & Associations Group, he works with a multitude of common interest realty associations throughout New York and New Jersey providing his expertise with audits, compilations and forecasts as well as sponsor transition and project management. His closely-held business services include audit, review, compilation, tax compliance as well as other miscellaneous consulting services. Mr. Chorba is a Certified Fraud Examiner who has worked with clients on varying types of forensic investigations. In addition, he is a member of the NJCPA, AICPA and ACFE.

Mary W. Barrett is a Shareholder at Stark & Stark. She has been practicing in Stark & Stark's Community Associations Group since 1998. She concentrates her practice in the representation of homeowners associations, condominium associations, and cooperatives throughout New Jersey. Ms. Barrett assists community associations with contract preparation and review, policy resolutions and rule creation, amendments to governing documents, covenant enforcement, trustee elections, governing document interpretation, assessment collection, transition, loans and financing, housing discrimination defense, and general corporate counsel.

Michael Flippin CMCA, AMS, PCAM has over 23 years of community management experience since joining INTEGRA Management Corp., AAMC in January 2001. Over this time, Michael took full advantage of the educational opportunities offered by Community Associations Institute culminating with being awarded his PCAM Designation in 2012. Through his career he has grown from a Community Manager to his current role of Urban - Regional Managing Director. As part of INTEGRA's Executive Team, Michael oversees the company's Mid Rise and High-Rise portfolio and works with his fellow Executive Team Members in guiding the operations of the company.
Through his involvement with the Community Associations Institute New Jersey chapter, Michael has served on the Editorial, Manager and Nominating Committees along with being a Past Chair of the Editorial Committee.
Prior to joining INTEGRA, Michael worked throughout the country as a professionally trained chef. Michael still enjoys spending time cooking for family and friends creating many memorable events.
Michael and his wife Kim recently celebrated their 25 th Wedding Anniversary. Michael and Kim have two wonderful grown daughters and are extremely proud of their Grandson.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys camping, getting frustrated on the golf course and making lifelong memories with his Grandson. Michael is an avid fan of the New Jersey Devils, Notre Dame and Dallas Cowboys. Most notably having watched a live game at Notre Dame with his Grandson.

Biography
Robin Surgent enjoys making the most out of her membership title with the CAI-NJ Team! Formally an Event Coordinator in 2011 with CAI-NJ, she has been fortunate to learn and grow across her decade long journey with associations to coordinate educational seminars, develop networking opportunities and most recently gain additional experience with marketing and membership, focusing on member relations and chapter involvement. Robin is excited to facilitate chapter growth, making industry connections between our member types and getting everyone involved in all the benefits CAI-NJ has to offer.
Robin graduated from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Event Planning. Robin currently resides in Hamilton with her husband, KJ and two crazy boys, Zachary and Shane. She loves being a boy-mom and all things Broadway.

Steven G. Mlenak is Co-Chair of the Redevelopment & Land Use Department at Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP. A member of the firm's and Real Estate Department and Community Association Practice Group, he maintains a strong focus in community association law, providing strategic guidance and general counseling to condominium and homeowners associations across a broad range of legal issues, including those related to governing documents and by-laws, contracts, collections, regulations, operational and maintenance issues, fiduciary responsibilities of board members, transition negotiations and litigation, Municipal Services Act compliance, and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Mlenak was elected to the CAI-NJ Board of Directors in December 2020 and elected Treasurer in 2022. He also served for several years on the Membership Committee (Vice Chair 2020), as a member of the Ambassador Program, and on the New Jersey Legislative Action Committee. Mr. Mlenak received CAI-NJ's "2016 Speaker of the Year" award and was a shared recipient of the "2014 Committee of the Year" Award.

Tony Nardone is a veteran Real Estate Entrepreneur who has expertly mastered the property management field. At a young age, Tony was fascinated with Legos and Lincoln Logs. Since his early days, he knew his passion was in the real estate field. Tony has come out with a deep appreciation of where he's come from and has passed his core values onto his children. When he's not deep in Real Estate he spends his time with his wife and three children coaching, attending sporting events or relaxing on vacation.
