Callcare began in 1986 as a direct result of GE's acquisition of RCA in 1985. At that time, our parent company manufactured pillow speakers for the RCA television systems in hospitals and nursing homes, drop-shipping them directly to RCA's customers. Shortly after the acquisition, GE dissolved that portion of RCA's business leaving many facilities with nowhere to go. But they did have that little slip of paper that came with their last shipment of pillow speakers and on that slip of paper was a phone number… our phone number. And thus Callcare was borne... At first it was pillow speakers our customers needed, then it was nurse call cords, and then it was wall stations, and so on and so on. Over the years our customers have made many requests for products and we have listened to them, which is why we offer wheelchair parts, curtains and curtain track, walkers, safety products and many others.
