CARLA VAN DAM

Carla van Dam, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in Washington State whose work has been covered internationally, including an article by Malcom Gladwell and television interviews. Over the course of her career she has worked with organizations and communities to prevent child sexual abuse. She also has worked with lawyers, both in criminal and civil cases, to make communities and work sites safe from child sexual abuse. Carla van Dam has testified in court cases in many countries, and has also done extensive forensic clinical work. She has also provided training on prevention strategies to professionals and community organizations around the world. Her methods provide empowering primary prevention techniques essential to stopping child sexual abuse.
