CAVANAUGH CABINETS - Key Persons

Jim Cavanaugh

The owner of Cavanaugh Cabinets, grew up in New Jersey. As a teenager, he worked in construction building houses on the Jersey shore. When he had completed high school, he attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA as a physics major. In 1980, he began Cavanaugh Cabinets as a small, local cabinet shop doing mostly residential work. Through the past 40 years, Cavanaugh Cabinets has grown from the small, local cabinet shop it originated as, to a successful architectural millwork business capable of handling multi-million dollar contracts. Some of our jobs in the past few years include the Fallwell Library at Liberty University, the renovation of New Cabell Hall at UVA, and the Smith History and Visitor Center at Monticello. Cavanaugh Cabinets is still located in the same building it originated in, although much has changed, we still maintain the same values as we did 42 years ago. Those values are Price, Quality, and Punctuality.
