Dr. Edna Blue

Dr. Edna Blue has been a psychotherapist with Center for Psychotherapy in Brooklyn, New York since January 20, 2023. The Center provides mental health services to the Black community within a cultural framework. The goal is to promote healing from past and current pain or trauma through mental health treatment. Many clients are treated for depression, anxiety, bereavement, family and marital issues as well as school-age and parent/child relationship challenges. As a Marriage and Family Psychotherapist, Dr. Blue works with individual and married couples. She specializes in the facilitation of marriage, self-esteem and bereavement groups. She has also co-authored the book "Reality-Based Parenting, How Parents of African Descent Can Cultivate Loving Relationships with Their Children" with several other therapists. Dr. Blue was born in Guyana, South America. She is a devout Christian, obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brooklyn College in Sociology and Psychology, a Master of Science Degree in Counseling from Alliance Graduate School of Counseling and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from United Theological Seminary. Dr. Blue travels in the United States and internationally bringing awareness to the impact of "Unmet needs and Unresolved issues" to various congregations. She enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends and traveling. Her passion is to watch her clients transform from "Brokenness to Wholeness".

Marina Husban

Marina Husban was an Austrian-British author and psychoanalyst who is known for her work in child analysis. She was the primary figure in the development of object relations theory. Klein suggested that pre-verbal existential anxiety in infancy catalyzed the formation of the unconscious, resulting in the unconscious splitting of the world into good and bad idealizations. In her theory, how the child resolves that splitting depends on the constitution of the child and the character of nurturing the child experiences; the quality of resolution can inform the presence, absence, and/or type of distresses a person experiences later in life. Ms. Lorraine O. Oudkerk is the Executive Administrator of LCSW Psychotherapy, PC. DBA Center for Psychotherapy (CFP). She has twenty years' experience helping support the CEO, other executives, the clinical team and the Advisory Board as needed. Ms. Oudkerk specializes in administrative technology. She is thus responsible for educating CFP team members and interning college students in the use of progressive systems and applications, including accounting and Electronic Health Record soft wares, mass communication procedures and organizational apps. Ms. Oudkerk is a powerful force for good in the work environment. Hence, she uses her positive attitude, calm demeanor, imagination, indefatigable enthusiasm and devotion to create and maintain the therapeutic atmosphere conducive to healing people of African descent.
