Steven Tartaglini has over four decades of experience in M&A, corporate operations, the raising of equity and debt capital and financial restructuring. He has acted as the advisor to C.E.O.s of multiple Fortune 100 companies and senior appointed and elected government officials, including those in the office of the President of the United States. Mr. Tartaglini brings a diversified background that is vital to understanding the needs of every CharlesEdwards client. During his 47 years as a professional, Mr. Tartaglini has served in executive positions, including those of Chairman, President, C.E.O. and C.F.O. in a wide range of industries, including commercial and mortgage lending, banking, consulting, proprietary post-secondary education, software, longevity-risk/life insurance (secondary market) and real estate development. Mr. Tartaglini is currently jointly serving as a Senior Managing Director for DelMorgan & Co, an international investment bank headquartered in Santa Monica, California. He is also a licensed FINRA Broker with Globalist Capital LLC. Prior to founding CharlesEdwards in 2005, Mr. Tartaglini served in a transitional leadership position for four years as President of American InterContinental University - Los Angeles, a regionally accredited for-profit university owned by Career Education Corporation (NASDAQ: CECO). From 1993 to 2001, he was the Founding Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of THE NEWPORT GROUP, Inc., a professional services firm providing corporate governance, advisory and executive management services to Fortune 100 and mid-market chief executives and companies in the technology, education, government, not-for-profit and financial services industries. While there, Mr. Tartaglini served for two years as the Founding Managing Director of an internationally renowned organization working directly with the Office of the President of the United States (POTUS), the U.S. Senate, and major government and national trade associations on business continuity and technology issues. During his 20-year career in banking, Mr. Tartaglini perfected his expertise in balance sheet restructuring, crisis management, recapitalizations, distressed sales, litigation, real estate development and special situation transactions. While as a senior executive of a $40 billion subsidiary of parent H.F. Ahmanson (NYSE: HFA) Mr. Tartaglini served as Chair of the Asset & Liability Management Committee, Chair of the Liquidity & Investment Committee and Chief Strategic and Financial Planning Officer. Mr. Tartaglini is the Co-author of Business Continuity Planning for Local Infrastructures, a Y2K Guide for Cities and Counties, cited by the U.S. Senate in Senate Hearings as an authoritative source on business continuity planning and mission-critical business processes.
