City Rent A Truck is a family owned truck and van rental operation, centrally headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Originally named, South Town Leasing, we got our start as the leasing department of a local Ford franchise, in 1964. A few years later, the Ford dealership moved east of town, while the leasing arm stayed behind operating as a separate entity. That separate leasing department was soon renamed City Rent A Truck... At City Rent A Truck, you get the right vehicle, at the right place, at the right time. This is renting as it should be... City Rent a Truck offers nationwide truck and van rentals to help businesses supplement their existing fleet. Our vehicles are Work Ready on Demand, meaning we expect them to be put to work on the toughest of jobs, and refuse to treat regular wear and tear as a profit center.
