Alexa was admitted to practice as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2022.
She has worked in the area of insurance litigation, including personal injury and workers' compensation.
Alexa is a member of the Commercial/Local Government team at Civic Legal providing valuable legal support to our senior lawyers.
Alexander was admitted to practice as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 6 April, 2018.
Anthony graduated with Honours from the London School of Economics and was called to the bar in 1982 at Lincoln's Inn, London. He was admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia in 1990.
Today, Anthony is one of the leading practitioners in the commercial and local government sectors in Western Australia.
Anthony created the Civic Legal brand in 2005, specifically to service the WA local government sector. It has grown from strength to strength and is now a stand-alone firm servicing the local government, commercial and insurance sectors.
Anthony and his team have acted for over two thirds of Western Australian local governments. The depth and breadth of Anthony's experience enables him to provide advice and representation on virtually any legal issue a local government may face.

Elizabeth has been a central member of the Civic Legal team since it began. She started as a Legal Secretary and is now the Practice Manager, ensuring the smooth operations of the firm across all its practice groups. Elizabeth is also member of Australasian Legal Practice Management Association (ALPMA).
Emma is a property lawyer with more than 17 years' experience in private practice in commercial law, including property sales and leasing, corporate structuring, trust and syndications, developments and complex sale and purchase agreements.
Emma works with the Commercial/Local Government Team at Civic Legal.

Francisca has been a key staff member of Civic Legal since 2015 in the management, marketing and governance teams.
Helen is a senior lawyer with over 12 years in practice in personal injuries and workers' compensation work. Helen now works predominantly in the area of defence of compulsory motor vehicle third party insurance (CTP) claims. Prior to joining Civic Legal, Helen worked at a large national law firm specialising in personal, motor injury, and civil liability claims and common law claims.
Helen is a compassionate lawyer and a determined problem solver, who is driven to achieve successful outcomes for her clients.
Isabelle has a practical understanding of the everyday challenges faced by organisations, having previously worked in the human resources department at Land Rover in the UK. Isabelle has a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) degree in Personnel Management.
Isabelle was admitted to practice as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2007, and in the Supreme Court of Western Australian in 2020.

Karen is a highly experienced senior legal secretary/paralegal with more than 25 years working in various fields of law including personal injury insurance, medical negligence, commercial law and litigation.
Kerryn graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction from Edith Cowan University in 2022.
She has over 15 years' business experience as an independent sole trader providing BAS agent and bookkeeping services to numerous small and medium-sized businesses across varying industries.
Kerryn is a Solicitor in the Commercial/Local Government team at Civic Legal providing valuable legal support to our senior lawyers.
Kerryn has been part of the Civic Legal team since October 2021 and was admitted to practice as a Lawyer on 6 October 2023.
Laura Angel is one of the top personal injury insurance lawyers in Western Australia. She leads the Motor Injury Insurance Team at Civic Legal.
Laura's experience includes leading national plaintiff firms in WA across all areas of personal injury litigation covering road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, professional negligence, public and product liability.
Laura has also advised and represented clients in medical negligence claims involving complex liability and causation issues, and in claims involving catastrophic injuries.

Melanie is a law clerk and valuable member of the Governance Team at Civic Legal. Melanie is the project manager for Civic Legal's unique governance services. These include regulation 17 systems and procedures reviews and Project Aware. Drawing on her first-hand experience in local government, she is involved in the development and delivery of these services.
Neil is a prominent figure in the WA local government sector. He has some 40 years experience in both country and metropolitan local governments. This includes appointments as Chief Executive Officer of local governments in the metropolitan area, the Wheatbelt and the Pilbara. As a result, he understands the variety of challenges that face different local governments, their CEOs, and their Councils.
Neil was a State Board member of Local Government Professionals WA for 17 years - including appointment as its State and National President.
Neil brings his expert knowledge of the sector to our Local Government team. He is one of the leaders in the Governance practice, providing strategic governance support. Neil's work contributes to the unique ways in which Civic Legal services local governments.

Phoebe is a key member of the administrative team, answering and directing calls, managing meeting rooms, organising document and records maintenance and conducting outside clerk duties at courts. Phoebe ensures smooth file opening, closing and archiving and works closely with the Practice Manager.
Shirley graduated from the Australian National University in 2010 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2012.
Shirley completed her articles and practised with a well-established Western Australian law firm in the areas of commercial litigation and dispute resolution before joining Civic Legal in 2023.
Shirley is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
