CLAP is the only one who disposes of a new high technology PVD equipment "Platit π80+" for electric-arc deposition of nitride, carbide and carbonitride coatings. Technologies for nanosized, nanostructured and nanocomposited hard and superhard coatings from Ti, Cr, Al and their alloys on stainless steel, tool steel, tungsten carbide etc., are developed. A patent No 1464/17.08.2011 entitled "Multilayer nanocomposite coating for cutting tool application" is realized.
