Caroline D. Miller

Caroline D. Miller, Psy.D. past Director of Assessment and Training at The Center for LifeSpan Development, Inc. (CLD), is currently serving as the Center's Psychological Testing and Clinical Services Consultant. Her clinical areas of expertise include psychological assessment, learning style differences, child and adolescent psychopathology, family therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Miller is a licensed psychologist and health service provider in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In addition to her work at CLD, Dr. Miller has been a member of the William James College (WJC) faculty, formerly known as the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (MSPP), where she has taught graduate courses in psychological assessment and abnormal psychology. She has supervised graduate students and interns at the Brenner Assessment and Consultation Center, a not-for-profit WJC agency and internship site that has provided state of the art assessment and testing services to disadvantaged, underserved populations across Massachusetts, New England, and the continental United States. Dr. Miller also conducts workshops on psychological assessment measures for local school districts. Dr. Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Trinity College, a master's in counseling psychology from Boston College, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from MSPP. She received her clinical training at the Brighton-Allston Mental Health Association and the Brenner Center. She then completed post-doctoral fellowships in neuropsychological assessment at the Brenner Center and CLD. Dr. Miller's research has focused upon learning and memory as well as cross-cultural personality assessment. Dr. Miller is a member of the Massachusetts Psychological Association.

Haneen Haddad

Haneen Haddad, PsyD is the Director of Assessment and Training at The Center for LifeSpan Development, Inc. (CLD). She is a licensed psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, obtaining her doctorate in clinical psychology from William James College (WJC), formerly known as the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, with a specialization in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Haddad is a faculty member at WJC, where she teaches graduate courses in psychological assessment and behavioral statistics. She also supervises graduate students and interns at the Brenner Assessment and Consultation Center, a not-for-profit WJC agency and internship site that has provided state of the art assessment and testing services to disadvantaged, underserved populations across Massachusetts, New England, and the continental United States. Dr. Haddad has experience working with young children (starting in the toddler years) and has pursued opportunities to complete psychological assessments from a developmental perspective. She has also worked effectively with school-aged children, adolescents and young adults. Dr. Haddad has specialty training in neuropsychological assessment with expertise in the differential diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, attentional challenges, and social-emotional difficulties. With her advanced training, she has focused her efforts upon making thoughtful, developmentally appropriate recommendations to families, outside providers, and schools. In addition, Dr. Haddad has worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings including, schools, outpatient clinics, and hospitals/acute treatment centers. She works collaboratively with families and treatment teams to help children and adolescents meet their potential.

Samuel J. Moncata

Samuel J. Moncata, Psy.D. has been teaching psychology and providing clinical services for more than 25 years. In 1992, Dr. Moncata created The Center for LifeSpan Development, Inc. (CLD), a regional leader in the assessment and treatment of learning and behavioral issues across the life span. He continues to direct CLD. Dr. Moncata obtained Master's and Doctor of Psychology degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Hartford. He received his pre- and post-doctoral training at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts, where he later worked as a Staff Psychologist, then as an Attending Psychologist. Dr. Moncata has held teaching positions at the University of Hartford and Harvard Medical School. Since 1994, Dr. Moncata has taught at The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (MSPP). He is currently a core faculty member in the Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program at MSPP, teaching introductory and advanced assessment courses, as well as child and adolescent psychopathology. His research interests include cross-cultural personality assessment, learning style issues, adolescent depression, trauma, cognition within personality development, predicting dangerousness, educating troubled youth, pervasive developmental disorders and Asperger's Syndrome. Dr. Moncata is also the Clinical Director of the Brenner Center, a not-for-profit MSPP agency and internship site that brings state-of-the-art assessment and testing services to disadvantaged, underserved populations across Massachusetts and the continental United States. Dr. Moncata is a licensed psychologist and health service provider in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is also a member of both the Massachusetts and American Psychological Associations. Dr. Moncata conducts numerous workshops and presents on a variety of topics to both professional and nonprofessional audiences alike. His work has been published in both professional and lay journals. Samuel J. Moncata, Psy.D. opened The Center for LifeSpan Development (CLD) in 1992 with the intention of creating a specialized mental health resource for individuals and families. Since its inception, CLD has expanded to include two licensed psychologists, as well as several post-doctoral and pre-doctoral trainees. Under Dr. Moncata's direction, CLD has become a respected strength-based practice that strives to keep clients at the center of the "work". Clinical excellence, client commitment, attention to detail and professionalism have become synonymous with the CLD brand. In particular, CLD has become a regional leader in assessment, treatment and advocacy for individuals with suspected learning style differences.
